CO2 LEDs gross droop rapid deficiency

Hi I need some advice. I've never used CO2 before. I run fairly high PPFD in the veg room so when I moved everything out to the new room with CO2 they were already at near the same ppfd they are getting now. Which is about 1000-1200 depending on where.

Anyway plants have been in there for like 36 hours and some of the girls are showing rapid deficiencies. Other ones have a gross droop about them like they are overwatered. Though I haven't changed a thing about my watering. In fact I haven't even watered some of them since they been in the room.

The room was a little cooler before 78-80 as I was figuring out the AC and the control station so temps haven't been the best. But they haven't been far off 76-80*F for most of the time. I've since let the room get a little warmer thinking that it needed to be a little warmer for the CO2 and LED use.

Ok so here's a mom I threw in there to veg. And she started showing these deficiencies immediately as well as some light stress with the leafs curling upward.

And then the other plants that aren't showing deficiencies they are being stupid ass droopy ass bitches. Help me make these ladies happier.

Edit: also forgot to mention. I haven't vented CO2 at lights out yet. And it seems the levels don't really drop over the dark period at all.
 
Ventings a smart idea. To high co2 at night interferes with root zone process (like more o2 rich). Twice a night. Right after lights out and halfway through for 15-20 depending. Just to clear the room. Could start there.

Will start venting at next dark cycle. Seems some plants are drooping less now. Hoping they come out of it ASAP. Lol depressing sight.

Are you chasing the VPD target? If yes, don't forget that the trolmaster doesn't take the leaf temperature to calculate the VPD, so it's damn offset.

Lower your PPFD. I always have issue when getting higher than 1000. (Even with co2).

As for the co2 level at night, buy another co2 controller from trolmaster and exhaust at night as long as you don't reach 500-550 ppm (co2).

As for the temp, dial your environment to hit maximum 83-85F on your trolmaster. It should get your leaves to be around 78-80F. Also, drop your humidity a bit 55-60.

I had a similar case when I tried to get my moms under leds... I wasn't able to get the tent hot enough and they were showing signs of deficiencies... As soon I put the 315w back, eureka! :)

Forgot to reply something... Your plants exhaust co2 at night... The level should raise little by little unless you vent. It's also postponing the ripening process if the ethylene has to compete with co2.

Lower your ppfd, Bets if you dropped it to 450ppfd they’ll be happy again in a few days.

Any reason you want to blast vegging plants with 1000+ ppfd and 1200ppm co2?

Forgot to reply something... Your plants exhaust co2 at night... The level should raise little by little unless you vent. It's also postponing the ripening process if the ethylene has to compete with co2.

Ya at the last dark cycle my CO2 hit 1550ppm on its own But after a half hour or hours of lights on it dropped back to 1200ish.

I dimmed my lights yesterday as the deficiencies were getting worse. So I'll just keep it there and See what happens in the next while.

Not chasing VPD or anything it's whatever room is. And yes the Trolmaster assumes VPD based on Leaf temps being a few degrees cooler rather than measure the actual leaf. Which I did measure at 82*F.

I since lowered the temp slightly and the LST to 79

Lol good question. Was just testing the room more or less to see how the plants would do at the start of flower. They've been vegging under the exact same strips at good intensity without the issues.

I don't normally dim my lights or anything when I first move the girls into flower.

I just expected CO2 to let these girls get away with all that PPFD.I guess I was wrong.

Edit: dimmed down to 650 umol in the middles and 450 around the room edges.

My plants go into the flower room at 400ppfd

They stay at those numbers 1 week prior to flip

I see so many people blasting them at 18” having numerous issues as well.

I will dim a touch more then and see. My plants are already like 5 feet to the lights and lights dimmed

but I run 800+ intensity in my flower tent from day one flip and they didn't droop or do what they did in the room. I thought CO2 would give them super powers. Lol.

What PPFD you aim for mid flower? When things are swinging?

You think the light stress is what is causing that leaf roll/ tip curl? Can't be that bad if the bud isn't bleaching

Could it be from the sudden increase in CO2 from ambient up to 1200 along with the intended PPFD? they might be happier with a gradual increase over a few days. Some strains are sensitive to any sudden change in environment.

Ummm I have like 10 strains in the room with about 30 different phenotypes. There only like 10 plants in there not giving a fuck about the carnage happening all around.

False, they don't take any leaf temp difference. If you want to validate, take any vpd calculator. I also confirmed with them about that. (Or they upgraded it since last firmware update?) Kinda stupid not to let the user select a differential temp.. ;)

As for taking temp on the leaves, you have to take multiple measurements. Top,middle,bottom and calculate the average.

Co2 that high at night is bad. Exhaust! :)

Hope your ladies will get back on track! It sucks when you see them going bad :(

ya I set it to vent on the night cycle now. Worked well.

Got back from work and some of the girls have already started to appreciate the lower light levels.
Amaizing how much the CO2 spikes from me being in there.
