My grow tent is located near an open window leading to a main road which has plenty of traffic all day... i keep lights on from 7am - 7pm and its basically rush hour there all day between cars, buses, construction vehicles, etc.. is this raising the co2 a good amount for me? I know its alot of burning fuel out there, alot more than I can produce

Well 2 things cars put off Carbon Monoxide which kills plants and you want carbon dioxide.Second co2 levels need to be about 1500 ppm to work correctlt so you have to concintrate it..

I have a similar setup. I have been able to produce 2-3 oz a plant under 400 watt light with no extra CO2 then that coming off a busy street.

Well I know wheree I live we have to do emmisions each year and we get a print out after they hook your muffler to the test hose and by particle break down the majority is mono not dioxide that is found to come out the rear of the car. If you look in heavy city ares the closer to the roads and surrounding plant life is stunted and damaged compared to ares further away. Granted some of that is from the sepiage of petrolurm run off but the leaves show it soon after forming as traffic increase. When people commit sucide by running the hose from a tail piep into a window. It carbonmonoxide esfixiation that does it.
