Coco Fertilization Regime Questions

Hello again fellow cultivators. Well, for those who know, I have recently made the switch from indoor growing with Ocean Forest....to Coco.

I am growing 6 Super Silver Haze and 4 Arjan's Haze # 1 in four gallon buckets of coco. I am a huge Fox Farms Nuts fan, and I only use them for my fertz. I was wondering, if I should buy the fertz for the hydro regime or for the soil regime now that I grow in coco.

Also, is there any advice on when or if I should do any flushing of my coco, during my flowering period but before I do my final flush?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Till next time....Oh Bong You!....or FIRE IN DA HOLE :) :fire:

Hey Potologist...this is my best hypothesis to your question...

We both know that coco coir is an inert material, meaning that there is not supplemental nutitional value to a plant, therefore one must provide the essential nutrients that plants desire. Nutes used for soil methods rely upon the microbial activity that lives in the soil to enable the nute to break down into absorbable sugars that plants use for the photsynthesis process.

Thus, upon my best educated guess, I would use hydroponic nutrients to feed your coco grown plants...the hydro nutes are readily available for quick and easy absorption into the plants' root system, without having to rely upon enzymes in the soil to break down the nute into simple sugars...

Whew! I had to dig deep for that answer! Hope this helps!!!
