I have a few outdoor plants and want to know when i should harvest. the hairs are 75% reddish brown but the trichs are still kinda clear. should i leave them outside until the trichs get more cloudy? or will the cold nights about 40 degrees do so much damage that i should just harvest now? thanks for the tip.

what i've read here is to wait until a portion of the trychomes have gone from milky white on to amber..
40F is not a problem, but frost below 32F can wipe out a crop..

all you have to worry about is the frost, as previously stated. If there is a forecast of frost you can always cover your plants also. just my 2cents

if its a hybrid take it down when its milky goodness, sativas can go amber and still bring you up when smoked. Dont worry about the frost. use bed sheets if your going to cover them. plants can live after having snow on them.. its ok.
rain should be your main fear as of now.

good luck
