Cold temperatures

What is the best way to keep the girls in good condition when day time Highs are in the 80-90s. But nighttime gets down the 40-low 50’s?

Is this outdoors or indoors? If outdoor then not much you can do. Silica is great for building up plants natural defenses. If indoors that is a massive temp swing and should try to find a way to heat the area at lights out. Setup a 2nd tent and run it on opposing schedules so instead of a heater those 1000 watts are growing more ladies.

Control the temperatures?

Seriously though, controlling the environment is key when growing indoors. Not just temperature but humidity as well.

Outdoor desert idk man. Its not a cactus lol

On youtube I watched a kid called Yellow Penguin grow the most massive tree I've ever seen because he would go out at 4am to spray her down with 72 degree water until November lol He was in Oregon though. Almost the opposite environment.

That would be best. Definitely look up Yellow Penguin though. Just a random kid growing trees like the Mendo Dope boys but up in Oregon lol

Thanks dudes! Ya in Oregon, just central Oregon so it’s the high desert, first time growing outdoors here. We shall see how they finish up.
One love

It’s outdoors. High dessert
Your biggest concerns then would likely be low humidity with those high temperatures.

Definitely want some silica in their feed. They are likely going to be thirsty so don't over water (watering too frequently) but definitely don't let them run dry.

would a standard nitrogen supplement do, or stop that and use the silica to replace?

They are different products however you can use them both together. This is good since we want to back off the nitrogen during flower but we still want the silica.

Dyna-grow Pro-tekt is one good silica additive. General Hydroponics Armor Si is another good one.

As far as the low night temperatures, not much other than a green house that can be done about that. Know that the cooler temperatures will limit phosphorous uptake but adding more phosphorous won't help. So if you see signs of a phosphorous deficiency during flower it is likely the cool nights, don't go throwing excessive phosphorous at the problem lol.

ha! Heard that. I’m going to get them into a greenhouse in the next week right before flowering so they can finish strong. Thanks for the tip on the silica!

Excellent! That will give you much better odds on harvesting before they freeze since you can always toss a space heater in there to get through a bitter period. It is often the case that your plants aren't fully mature when old mother nature starts throwing fits.
