Cologne soaked :( Can i smoke it?

So I had my Cologne in the same bag as my stash and the top broke open. So the question is: Can i fix this? Will it be smokeable? Would you smoke it?

Thanks!

Lol. Uh, depends. We talkin schwag or dank? If its like $5/gr schwag then just dump it, I wouldnt even risk it. But if it's like $70/eighth dank, I'd atleast try some method of getting the cologne out of it. Perhaps use the mason jar curing method? It'll be awhile before youre smokin it, but better safe than sorry! :joint:

it's gonna taste like pure ass. i've stored weed in the same drawer as stuff like that and even without anything spilling the weed was still tainted. did any of the liquid get on the weed? if it did the best i can offer you is cologne has a lot of alcohol in it which evaporates. it's still gonna taste gross.

i would prolly try and salvage a little bit of the bud if it didnt smell like straight cologne...but no, I would not smoke that shit.

Thanks for the tips guys... i probably wont end up smoking it. However i have it in a jar with a pack of Silica Gel to see if that helps at all.

This is like the worst thing i could have spilled on it. I took my shit in the ocean once (forgot it was in my pocket)... that dried out but was a little salty lol, need to be more careful with my dank shit.

Have you guys ever spilled anything on your buds?

i mwould imagine i tstill gets you high, but you gotta be a real man to smoke cologne though

most colognes have neurotoxins and other nasty chemicals in them . . . .so I say fuck that . . .

Desperate measures in desperate times. I have done it. I have also smoked some after it has taken a ride through the washer. heh

i did this once when i was like 15...that cologne even travels through ziplocks, i only had it in same drawer to hide the smell but it ruined the weed....

if you let it air out a while it wont be as bad but still will taste like crap. Have you thought of water curing it? Its where you soak the buds in lukewarm water for a few days, and then let it dry ( it will dry fast ) and its supposed to remove a lot of crap. maybe it will save your stash!

what if those toxins aren't water soluble?

The alcohol from the cologne probably destroyed a lot of the trichomes.

yeah, it could have acted as a solvent and probably did ( didnt even think of that )

but even so, and it made the trichomes into an oily substance, after water curing it will still be there :D

eh, it could only destroy the trichomes under pressure . . (hence the reason people use a pressurized tube to extract butane hash oil)

if anything, it coated them.

poplars on a different theory, I guess they use the canisters because butane evaporates so quickly its the only way to contain the gas in liquid form and coat all of the weed....

just a theory....

if you spray a trichome with spray . . . without pressure . . I guarantee you it's going to stay the same, just coated . . . .

notice how when people use alcohol to extract hash oil, you have to shake it up and let it sit for a while? this isn't the case with a simple spray with no pressure . .. unless the kid DRENCHED it in spray (which is highly unlikely) then its simply going to be coated . ...

I guarantee you the main reason they use butane like that is because the pressurized chamber causes much more extraction . . . . all I"ve ever read is that pressure + cold = broken trichomes + a solvent = good hash oil.

I mean, you're right about that in one way . . . but I believe the main reason they even USE butane is not only because of it's rapid evaporation rate, but the pressure and nature of the extraction.

You sir are 100% correct.
