Combo cmh led idea, need input

So I’m noticing smaller and fewer trichomes under my mars fce 6500(I have uv bars that came with but haven’t tried them) than I got under my 630w de cmh. Would it be possible to hook 2 bars from the fce to an appropriately powered driver(bars 122w ea rounded up to nearest whole w) on the side of the cmh?

I don’t know the light but I reckon you could. What driver does it come with? Is it somewhere around 48v or is it high voltage like 300v something? If wired to a high voltage driver (constant current) then the wiring would be in series instead of parallel like on constant voltage.
Parallel would be easy. You could most likely use the same driver and lead that the bars plug into or easily match to a lower wattage driver.
Series wiring you would divide it by how many bars you have to find the voltage of each bar and match to driver. Or look for the voltage on the face of Led?

Why not just stick with the cmh only?

Ive toyed around with the idea of combining led and cmh. Id stay away from your mars light and just build something myself out of diy stuff or similar. That way you can get something which works the best. Rflector throw and size is important cause it will condition the size of strips you wanna use.
There isnt all that many led diyers around anymore but i can assure you its not hard at all.

Sure, if you can make suitable electric connections to the strips. A 240 watt Meanwell driver is about $80.
