Commercial grow woes

I've been working in a commercial grow for awhile now, starting out as a trimmer. Slowly moving up to where now I am an "apprentice" to the grower. They use Heavy-16 and swear they never had to ph anything as they thought it was ph perfect.

Long story short, they have been burning their plants since they started and I was trying to make the grower understand that maybe they are burning up because they are locked out from the water not being phed to the right range. So now we have been phing to the correct rangeand everything has been golden.

Fast forward to this morning and there is a note on the board saying to ph from 6.0 to 6.5. Now they are running coco and from everything I have read/understood Coco & soilless and hydro needs phing from 5.5 to 6.0 because it doesn't contain the buffers that soil does.

I just don't know what to do, I hate to do stuff the wrong way knowing that its wrong, but I don't want to get fired over something so stupid.

If they are invested in their grow business maybe you can send them a well written article about coco and proper ph? Seems like one would want to get their product out to the people as opposed to into a compost bin. Compost bins tend not to pay :/

If you can chat with the owners then id want a meeting and have all your info written down and passed around and tell em that their grower is not as good as you.
