composting edible seaweed????

i just came up on some seaweed salad how do i compost it...it taste a lil salty...need some input with anyone thats tried it

Every time we have a storm there is a huge line up of people collecting seaweed for their gardens.
Probably best to rinse the salt off before you compost it though.
