It's illegal for an employer to pay less than minimum wage. The gas station my wife works at tried docking pay for drive offs and found out the hard way.
All the servers where my wife works (Nicest restaurant in town) get 1 pass a year on a walk-off, after that they are responsible for the ticket.
Needless to say they watch suspect customers like a hawk and will gang up on your ass if you try & skip.

whoa, lucky for you that kid wasn't paralyzed..
Sounds like it was lucky for the kid. He barely old enough to be legally evaluated by a shrink for it. 0 record. Back then, you couldn't even be charged as a juvenile until you were 12.

(I once thought of having kids, so that I could train them to be little assassins, between 6-8. That's a lot of trouble that could be cleared up, and IF they got caught, so what? They HAVE to be released. Not a single question asked without a lawyer and parent present. So, I had a vasectomy.)

420, Nice shooting. ;-) I hate those douche bags that can't fuckin' zipper in. And the right-lane drivers that brake-check at speed merging traffic. WTF! And assholes who tailgate sport bikes (or any bike, for that matter) when we're already ridin' 10+ over the limit. Yeah bitch, it will do 190 flat out. But, it WON'T on this stretch of freeway. I know, because I control the throttle. (I used to carry D-Cell batteries in my tank bag. And marbles, and live rim-fire rounds. I'd get a handful and heave off on those fuckers.)

And, restaurant walk-offs. I've done it 4 times. Every time it was because of service issues, that were brought to the servers attention and went un-addressed. All of the bills hit 300. And, I left a tip. I hate bad service. I understand that you depend on the customer's good will to make ends meet. I also understand that dropping my plate, or snapping at me is not inspiring my good will. I was polite, I attempted to remain in good spirits. You have personal problems? That's just it -- your problems. Join a forum and whine about it, don't bring it to my table. And, when I order a dry merlot, to go with my steak -- don't bring a fuckin' sweet blush because the bottle I ordered was out. Ask me, I can tell you aren't a wine drinker, that's why I gave details about the wine I was ordering to you.

I'm kinda' shocked at a few things that people feel the need to "confess." It really puts into perspective one's moral compass, compared to others. I find the ripper/jacker above absolutely revolting. And yet, I find the many people who, after warning or for just cause, used violence as a means to an end to be just posting cuz they THINK that others find it wrong. They did nothing that any other good person would not have done, given the same circumstances.

thats how it is where i work, ill be serving a table and walk away and another server will tell me to stand by the door because someone might try n walk out. we got a new busser one day it was his first day of work, i had someone walk off on my table. i pretty much seen it coming but i was iffy so i didnt wanna seem like a jackass by going.. everyone make sure this table doesnt walk out. so this kids bussing the table after they roll and is just staring at it freaking out lol. he thought i was gonna blame him for the money missing lol.. if they walk out and we cant stop em.. thats it, dont gotta pay the ticket or anything. why would people dine and dash fine dining. go to tgi fridays or applebees for that shit.. if 2 people eat where i work and roll its about a 100 bucks gone.

Not much of a confession per say but I worked at pizza hut in highschool as a delivery driver/cook/server and one time when I was working the assistant manager who was in charge that day said some really derogatory things about me and one of my buddies behind our back but I overheard so I cursed her out in front of all the workers and a full dining room and left. The best part was the next day the GM called and asked me to come back. Within a week I was back slingin pizzas. Asking the assistant manager who I called a cunt and told to go fuck herself in front of a full dining room of families to cash me out from deliveries. Once when I was about 12 me and the neighbor down the street made 2 Molotov cocktails and headed out with my zippo a kid from school gave me. We only where able to throw one of them. By the time we where about to light up the second the police showed up out of no where. First ride in a squad car.

I tried the move away and get chill thing. It worked, but they made me move back (something about no forwarding address for the probation officer.) I'm all done with that, and am trying to go legitimate again. I got outta prison when I was 23, and decided not to go back. I lived the straight life. A parking ticket, and a following to close/failure to yield in the 10 years I was on parole. I got my clearance, and elevated clearance, founded a company, sold it and went into consulting. And then I let this cunt on the back of my motorcycle, and it spiraled down. Crash-brain damage... Anger and drinking (I had clearance, no smoking.) More pain, and pain pills, plus the bitch-on-the-back didn't go away. Finally got that DUI. Went to clear it up, and got hit with a SWAT team... That's what I get for going back to clear shit up. I threatened someone, and knew too many details about it. So I got shelved and wasted away until I got the lung cancer diagnosis. That was it, I bounced, met the boss lady, and decided to turn myself in. Marshal's service offered me a lift (mid coitus, I told her not to answer the door yet!)

Here I am, back on RIU, and back in the desert. I'm all done with the anger and violence. I have found a way to reverse the brain damage, and will find a way to utilize it. I'll pull that old security system I wrote in 2007 off the shelf, re-vamp it and add sentry capabilities (i.e. eliminate more human elements) pitch it to a few of the growers around here that have both assets and income, and an appreciation for an opportunity to go into business, and I'll come back. This time, no crazy life. I have a woman that I can say that I love, and a reason to NOT get into any angry/violent situations.

I understand srh88, I did my time (8 years total, in the joint, 20 on probation/parole.) I'm done with it. No pussy, no weed, no cigarettes, and no RIU! Fuck the joint!

I'll still walk on shitty service, though. And, I NEVER ring more than I can afford. (An apology and corrected service, even when I ask for the check go a long way!)

what kind of restaurant, what did you eat and how did you do it?
dave n busters
1 dble chsbgr and fries, 1 chkn salad,1 basket hotwings, 2 long islands 2 beer jugs and $50 in game tokens

Just so you know that will usually come out of your server's (minimum wage +) pocket when you do that.
well aware

gotta be honest i feel fully justified here. first of all we her service and attitude were shitty from the start. second, i asked for the tab when we were all ready to leave. that was at 6:20somethin. by 6:50ish still hadnt seen her so i go looking for her, no one can find her, not even the staff. i tell them i gotta go, they gimme some bullshit about shes the only one that can close me out because of some computer code or some bs. mngr say ill get her. i got to the bathroom, this bz is sittin at the bar playin candy crush. i go up to her like, wtf? she says shes on break and gave her code to another server to close out. wheres that server? who knows, this went on until i said fuck it and walked out the front door at 7:50, 9 people with me, no one even cared, so neither did i

that fn burger was exxxxcellent

Sounds like she got what she deserved then.
I'm used to dealing with professional servers - the ones that smile & really want to make your experience a good one.
The bitch where you ate didn't need a job that bad apparently cause servers live or die on their attitude.

when I was 19 I went AWOL from the Navy...after 2 years service, walked of the airbase at JAX and went underground for 2 years, stayed 1 step ahead of the feds chasing me....those 2 years I developed a quiet style and flew under the radar....since then I have always driven the speed limit, mowed my front lawn, stayed at home from 2 to 6 am (nothing good happens on the streets at 4:30 am) oh I misbehaved but not so blatantly as to be incarcerated, except for a few times hahhaa like driving my 63 fairlane from Portage to Kalamazoo and the dimmer switch on the floor was rusted out from the salt they put on the road, drove by a state trooper who had sommeone pulled over, i tapped for my low beams and ALL my lights went off.....of course when it was my turn to show license and registration I forgot about the fifth of whiskey between my legs...i was also tripping on LSD.....federal fugitive, fake ID and a friend bailed me out the next morning.........

im 100% a fair weather sports fan.. bandwagon.. call it what you want. Im not into professional sports in the least bit. I hate basketball, can't stand how boring baseball is, I do enjoy football and hockey but I can't seem to remember to watch the games until its being jammed down my throat. I'm from Boston and apparently Boston sports teams are doing good this year, but by how much I have no idea and what that all means I also do not know. However I never say I watched all along, I can maybe name 5 players from the bruins and the patriots.. maybe. I tried once to fake like I knew something, and then they started talking about the players and thank god they thought I was kidding about not knowing who any of them where haha. I guess this isn't really a confession because well its not something I try to hide, but hopefully it will keep this thread going. Oh and lets not try to judge our brothers and sisters so quickly for their sins, at least they have the dignity to share these events. Yes they may be made up but that's fine its the internet.

I like making old ladies blush and giggle... Simple little flirts, hidden compliments that make 'em giggle like they're 19. And, I mean that 70 year old lady selling cigarettes at 9:00 on a Friday night, dealing with drunk assholes since 5 or so... Funny to watch 'em change the way they go about their routine as you leave.
