No compromise and reconstruction this time around, Donald put an end to that bullshit and a lot of other things in America. Like many right wing fascists don't value or understand constitutional government, they misread the people who believe in it. Many patriots have sworn an oath to up hold and defend the constitution of the United States from ALL enemies foreign or DOMESTIC and to take whatever measures are necessary to do so. These are far more experienced and serious people than the bearded overweight clowns who inhabit right wing militias. Normally peaceful and law abiding, once aroused, they will be a force to be reckoned with and will unite under competent leadership to defend and protect the constitution.

None of this will be required though, Trump will lose and lose badly, any body who aids and abets his cheating will have a legal reckoning. Joe will take power from Trump if he wins the election, well before the inauguration too, he will humiliate Donald and counteract his destructive orders. After the election Donald's power will evaporate as his henchmen and minions desert the sinking ship. I really do hope Trump tries to stay in the White House after the inauguration of Joe, it would be fun to see him get the bums rush to the gate by the secret service.

The vote is certified on the 14th of December by the house, if there are problems with swing and red states ballots, then they will not be able to seat their congress people on Jan 02, the old congress expires at the end of the year, the house and senate will be blue for awhile, not even incumbents can be seated until their votes are certified and the blue states will have few issues on the 14th. The courts cannot interfere with congresses constitutional duty and will not.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with our system. There are several more Important dates after election day, each one open to mischief. Choosing the electors is the biggest chance for 45 to try to steal the election.

I'm aware of the loopholes Trump could try to exploit, but many of those GOP state legislators are on the ballot too and it looks like many of them will lose, thanks to Trump. If Trump loses in a landslide it is all over but the whining, I figure we will know or have a very good idea of who will win on election night, Florida counts mail in fast. Early voting has begun in 24 states and in person polls will have exit polls and this will give the country an idea of how things are trending.

Any scheme that Trump cooks up will depend on a close election result, trying to invalidate mail in will not work, the courts have DeJoy by the balls, he is fearful and it is logistically difficult. The USPS delivers over 400 million pieces of mail daily and a hundred million ballots (first class too) spread over several weeks is not much of a burden.

Biden has powerful forces on his side and at his back, he is fully capable and prepared to "take" power from Donald, real power even before the inauguration. Trump's term of office expires on Jan 20th at 11:59, the new congress sits on the first of the year. Remember congress people and senators are on those ballots too, as well as over 80 state house and senate seats, judges too in some places, Trump is attacking the foundation of the democratic process. Now Trump is not just running against Joe Biden, he is running against the US constitution and said as much.

Donald is a consistent ten points behind nationally and more importantly is losing in the states, red states are now battleground states, Florida and Georgia are battle ground states and Texas is in play, the democrats are even spending money there now. Donald shattered the solid south, Dixie and the mid west, the heart of his base is being ravaged by covid, he pissed off rural America with tariffs and by fucking with the USPS.

I read that and I'm familiar with the scenario, a lot of things would have to go just right (or wrong) for it to happen. Trump's term of office expires on Jan 20 at 11:59, sometimes the constitution is a bitch. If he does manage to overcome a landslide and hornswoggle the new democratic congress and senate majority that will be seated at the beginning of the year, he will truly be Cheeto Jesus and arise from the grave like a fucking zombie.

Donald might be impeached after the election ya know, before the new congress even sits, so could Bill Bar and a host of others. After the election Nancy could also use the inherent powers of congress to subpoena Trumps henchmen and jail them for failure to show or contempt of congress if they don't like the answers. Nancy has an iron fist under the velvet glove, don't kid yourself, she could have dozens in the congressional jail facing ten unpardoned years after a full trial by the house, after the election she might, but only if required.

The democrats could also impeach Trump after Jan 2oth even if he is not president, it would prevent him from holding federal office in the future, but he will be in prison within weeks anyway.

McCain is the second Republican on the 16-member transition advisory board, joining Bob McDonald, the former Procter & Gamble Co. chief executive who headed the Department of Veterans Affairs under President Barack Obama.

Biden has reached out extensively to Republicans disaffected with President Donald Trump. McCain, whose husband was the 2008 GOP presidential nominee, last week endorsed Biden and urged other conservative women to follow suit, saying, “Biden is by far the best candidate in the race.”

As required by law, Biden’s transition team is preparing for a smooth transfer of power should Biden win the presidency. The teams typically line up candidates for key appointments and prepare to implement policies early in the new president’s administration. Biden’s team says it is focused especially on the pandemic and its economic fallout.

Ted Kaufman, one of five co-chairs of Biden’s transition team, cited McCain’s experience in business and philanthropy and her advocacy for women and children.

“This transition is like no other, preparing amid the backdrop of a global health crisis and struggling economy,” Kaufman, a longtime Biden aide who was appointed to fill his Senate seat when he was elected vice president, said in a statement.

Biden’s transition team this month signed a lease for office space with Trump’s General Services Administration. Formal federal support for presidential transition teams was first put into practice in 2012 in an effort to ensure presidential candidates are prepared to assume the White House should they win the election.
