Hi, If i cut the top off my marijuana plant will it still grow grew the sides. I am trying to control my height and I can not harvest the plants yet, but I dont not want the plants growing to high.
Does the top of the plant produce the most yeild?
The plants are about 3ft Master Kush.

I think it's too late in the season to start topping, at 3ft and in September I gotta believe you're flowering already. Anything you do now may stress your plant. Most of the techniques I've read talk about topping and supercropping in Veg. If you're in flowering, IDK.
If not flowering yet, it's still late, I'd suggest supercropping to cut down on your plant height. Just pinch your stem where you want to bend it then fold it over at a 90 degree angle. That'll control your height instantly. Whatever you choose, at this stage of the game I'd only do it once.
Topping will cause your plant to grow 2 colas at the stop where it was cut. Some people who do this early enough in veg will do it multiple times to produce more colas. Either way, it will cut down on the height but the plant will still grow up from that spot.
