Cooling advice

Here's what I'd do lol. Try one six blowing out of the fan through the light (if ducted, that's the glass one) with carbon filter at the pickup and use passive intake, just enough to create slight negative in tent and see if that works first. Also use fan to blow just above canopy of plants which will circulate air in tent, not lots though. And that's what I would try first lol.

@DZ no yard sticks either, we have fancy 1 metre rulers tho haha. Great home depot advert tho, I bet they love that their yard sticks help in the growing process.

@Trich_holmes how do your plants not get heat stress, although my hps was only in there for 30 minutes it turned into a tropical rainforest immediately, i assumed MJ doesn't like rainforest heat.

@Budley Doright So are you saying I wouldn't even need a normal intake fan?

Thanks for the help guys I will update once ive got my new fans and reflector, looks like i might need to buy some extra ducting too!

@Budley Doright where would i put the passive intake fan though, guessing i could google that tbh, but still do I like hang it from the ceiling lol.

No fan required for passive intake, air is pulled in through a vent to replace exhausted air. I'm not real familiar with tents so not sure if there is a light proof vent or not?

OMG awesome, the asking about the wife's vag is perhaps the best way to deal with such situations haha.

I always thought that if they ever ask about noise I'd say its a game server rack, which put out a shit load of db.

So regarding cooling, you think the 2 6" fans with the intake blowing directly on the bulb will do the trick?

Ive also seen a cooling reflector with a glass door to keep the heat inside which i thought was a good idea also.
If you asked me I'd tell you my ex wife's is a dust filled cave of cobwebs, well it was when I last looked :o

It's all about extraction fans and fresh air. I've never used or known anyone to use intake fans. The tents are passively cooked by the vents. With a filter and powerful fan, say 400cfm or better you can put a piece of paper next to the vent and it will stay. Lots of air movement. With open bulbs, you just need a large enough room for heat to dissipate, and a larger extraction fan. As long as your getting the air from in the tent out your fine. I've ran open 600hps in a tent, just had it in basement and had to leave the door to tent open at all times. Also a trick is to use a silica product. Allows plants to withstand hotter conditions and also strengthens cell walls. I've don't side by sides and it's a must in my garden

I am saying try it, you could also use the 4" if needed. Just don't run out and buy shit that may not be required all at once. I use wing reflectors and have intakes cut into them to exhaust the hot air out.

@Budley Doright Lol, i get you now, I was always gonna buy the cooling reflector so im not fussed buying that, the 6" fans tho can be expensive so buying 1 instead of 2 will be much better, thanks. Also pmsl at ur ex wife's dust filled cave of cobwebs. :P

@Trich_holmes yeah I keep meaning to grab a silica product for my stalk strength (didnt know it helped with heat too?), but this is my last grow until I move house so im just gonna wait it out when it comes to the additives, im just using up what I have left then packing up the tent :(
Not sure if my tents big enough to dissipate the heat thats why i thought of getting a cheap air con to keep the ambient temps down. Definately cant have the door open 24/7 unfortunately, or i would.

And an open wing reflector? If so this is the culprit. They're not meant to run in tents. I got away with it because of having it in basement with open door.
