those are swamp coolers - they add a lot of moisture to the air which you may not want during flowering. if that's a concern, try googling "portable air conditioner" and you will find real air conditioners - they are more expensive than swamp coolers but don't add moisture and are more efficient.

i don't think they will raise humidity to high, and all air conditioning systems i have looked at are like 200+ im only trying to spend like 140totall because i still have things to do for setup.
i also do have window in garage so idk should it be open or closed? i really need to bring temps down in garage by ideally 10degress and that would be perfect, but atleast 8degress.
i already have a ceiling fan in there right under the area to

just trying to help, but if you're saying your garage is already too hot without the grow lights on, then you will have a really hard time using a swamp cooler to handle your situation. you could probably get a portable airconditioner for $100 on ebay.

if you do use a swamp cooler, you keep the garage window closed. if you use an aircondiioner, you have to vent it to the outside.

another thought is to increase your half-way to a fully enclosed separate room. then a swamp cooler inside that smaller room could control the temp. having a closed room is key to odor control also. do you really want your garage to reek of prime bud?

6,000 BTU Electronic Window Air Conditioner
The problem with this is venting. You cannot, I repeat cannot vent into the rest of the garage without some major ventilation to the outside in the garage. Do you own the house? I'm assuming so. Use a window ac to cool the smoke room (should be insulated) and cool your grow room off of the air in that room, you'll need a bigger ac than the one above.

A poorly cooled 400w hps is going to raise temps ~7-10 f. Above 85 is no good, some will grow at up to 95 f but will be severely stunted.

Home depot has 6" 240cfm inline fans for $32, a little noisy but if you put them in an insulated box they are very quiet (pm for more detail). You'll need a fan blowing in and 1 sucking air out of your grow room. Vent through DIY carbon filter into the main part of the garage, throw some air fresheners around the garage to confuse the senses and ure good. Low odor strains will help and there are plenty of great ones available.

Without AC wait till the temps in your room drop below 85 f before you start anything, you could use this time to get ure room set up right. On second thought there is always under a sink with flourescents till your temps go down.

Good luck.
Oh, if you try the swamper and it works out better than expected let me know.

ok ill upload sum pics of the area im talking about because it's alittle hard to explain.i can't fully close the wall because the second car passses it alittle.the garage is insulated but the roof(ghetto).
i do not own the house,we rent it but the guy is really cool and we have ben renting for like 30years.
the veg box has it's lights but not flower box yet.
both boxes are closed but are located in the garage,so here are the pics.
and it sounds like ima need to go with the air conditioner, aren't they expensive to run tho?that my biggest concern honestly all the electricity

Spend $300-400 and get a portable AC unit so you can dump the cold air straight in the box and exhaust the hot air out the window. Nice setup
