Cooling with a window AC unit sitting on the floor?

My set up

4x4 tent, a 600wHPS, 450cfm fan with a filter for smell, humidity, and to exchange air 24/7 ( my CO2 method )
Blockbuster hood cooled with a separate 4in C.A.P. valueline fan strait through the tent and hood from one side to the next

NOW, what if I rigged up a flange and fixed it to the 12inx4in out take on the chepo lil AC meant for a window, and vented it into the tent?

The AC would sit on the garage floor a couple feet away from tent, my home made flange converts the 12x4in into 6in normal ducting.

There would be a normal household box fan right behind the AC (because the radiator gets hot on the back of it) pushing hot air towards my propped open garage door.

My problem is that the tent takes in air from inside the garage 'cuz its sitting in there, and also expels the hot air in there

This set up keeps smell at bay and humidity is not a problem, but the heat man.

heat rises, cold drops. mount the ac high, on a rack and cut an opening in the top side of the tent. use tape to seal tent to front of ac.

You dont need to put it high up in the tent, you can just cut a hole big enough for half the AC to fit in, then seal it up as good as you can, thats what I did and I got perfect temps, except you gotta make sure its on an even surface or water will leak everywhere.

why cut your tent, open the vents on the bottom of your tent, my tents got vents at the bottom, I put my ac unit in the window, I'm using a 8" inch fan it sucks the ac air in through the vents at the bottom of my tent. I left one end of my 8" hood open and vent out the top,my fan is mounted in the attic, not the tent, more room that way, plus with the ac in window I get fresh air and cool the room, the exhaust is vented in the attic no heat pumped back into your grow area

Well like i was saying im growing in a garage, my tent has three passive velcro vents on the bottom too, if you havent noticed light DUMPS outa those vents. My garage door is cracked open for heat issues. My garage door would be glowen brighter then a tree at christmas!

BUT i agree: I will never cut a hole in my tent unless its with the pre-made 8in ven kits that Homebox makes.

So the AC will not be near the tent, but the flange I spoke of will convert the HOT ambient garage air into nice COOL air and pump it into the bottom left circle 8in opening via normal ducting.

My 450cfm fan filter combo will then be put on a hygrometer/ timer and kick on at least every hour for a couple min, and not allow the humidity to go beyond 50%

Time to start using some CO2!.........

Please help with that everyone, Im not investing in a CO2 tank until i have a real grow room in a house I own, Im renting in a duplex and growing in the garage.

I am verry interested in Exhale CO2 bags though, any one try those???
