cooltube - reflector inside or outside vs temps

Hi guys,

I have a cooltube with metal reflector, that is on top of the tube. I notice how this piece of metal gets hot & I'm wondering: if I cut it & put it inside the glass, it would get ventilated together with the bulb & heat get nicely blown out of the cabbinet.

That could help drop temperature.. am I right? or am I missing something?

II don't quite understand what it is you want to do. If you have a cool tube and fan you shouldn't have to worry about heat or am I not getting the picture?.
