ok so a couple of questions,

i have bought some nutes for my girls. it has an A and B formula 3-1-1. would that be enough N-P-k for the plants veg cycle. it says to mix 5 ml per bottle with 1lt of water.

also how often should i be giving it the nutes as it dosent have an indication.

hey man,

plants in veg need lot of nitrogen.

so i think you need to use both bottles,

check the ratio or level of value N in your second bottle, it prob will be diff and higher then bottle A.

you need to add both, but nothing compared to the recomended dosage on t he bottle.

seedlings dont need any nutes for 3 weeks, after this stage add 1/4 strengh of nutes NOT the full dose mentioned on the bottle.

i had a nitrogen defiency prob, so jus givin what iv taken from this forum.

hope this helps.

Yeah but don't give them too much nitrogen or they will get burned or turn a really dark shade of green.

The plants don't actually need nutrients to grow so anything you give them will be good, just don't overdo it. Start with a little and work your way up. Keep a grow journal and a feeding schedule to remind you of much and how often you feed them.

Start with 1/4 strength, then 1/2, and eventually bring it up to full strength. I would reccomend mixing as per the directions on the package but if you think they need more just feed more often. Adding more than the directions say can be very harmful to the plants and could damage or possibly kill your crop.

cheers for the help guys,

both bottles combined gives that N-P-K reading. the girls are in there 4th week now so they are ready for the nutes.

i have been doing a heap of reading and a lot of N-P-K readings are like 10-8-10 for example.

obviously this is more potent but after reaching the intended dosage on the bottle could i increase the dosage even more if needed be.

cheers.

hey man,

im still learning and i need a clarification on 1 of the points you made.

you say plants dont need any nutrients, so then why do plants have deficiencies that cause problems that eventually lead to death?

i understand when in nature they dont nutrients. but would this suffice to a indoor hydro setup?

yes 4 weeks they def will be ready to take in some nutes.

yes you can increase the dosage if your plants tell you they need more nutes. you can identify this with a ec/cf meter.

def worth getting a meter to measure water to nutes frequency. you l be on top of things and knw exactly if they need more nutes or youv simply added to much nutes.
