Could a plant want nutes before feeder leaves yellow?

Those are starter leaves, not feeder leaves. My understanding is they don't mean anything at this point in the plant's life, just to get 'er started.

The Cotyledons Leaves are just there to get photosynthesis started. They will loose access to light and yellow and die.
