Have you thought about the idea I brought up about a comp with us all using the same strain seeds from a breeder?
I still think about it. With everyone distracted with covid it wasn't a good time for it last year. Hasn't been a good comp in a while.
I'm thinking of starting a thread to see what ideas people have or if there are respected breeders out there that would be willing to put together the seed packages for a comp. Now is a good time to start talking about a comp to play in the fall. It would leave plenty of time to harass ( troll
)the best growers on riu to play. Even if we all had to purchase seeds to play I would think we could get a good # of players.
To me every comp I played in was great. Enjoyed the people and the learning experience. What would be especially fun about a comp with all of us growing the same strains would be the smoke report as we all compare our reactions. Some might like the sativa hybrid, others might like the indica hybrids. I think having a dozen or more stoners smoking the same strains could lead to some interesting conversations making the end of the game more fun.
I can see pros and cons for breeders wanting to take part.
For me I would not care if there were prizes. That's just me, others might find prizes are needed IDK. What I would like if given the choice would be to have at least 3 strains with different flowering periods to add to the challenge. I would prefer any style of growing vs a solo cup so we would all be able to grow our best plants. Would also increase the # of people who make it to harvest.
What are your thoughts about being the seed seller for a comp like this?
I'm thinking the seed packages would need to be in the $50 to $100 range for say 4 seeds of 3 different strains to get the most players.
What do you think would be a fair price range for packages of 12 seeds (3 strains)?
