Crossbreeding Question/Advise

So I've been growing about 7yrs now and am finally putting out QUALITY bud and hash.

Finally thinking about getting into crossbreeding because I wanna mess around and create something truly personal. Im thinking of crossing Critical with Gelato and calling it my "Covid 19" strain because I think it would put you in a como and knock out the newbie tokers.

My thought is to PUSH my post harvest Gelato into late late flower with just a few small branches/buds left on her, harvest the nanners/polin, then pollinate a Critical cola and let that seed.

Advise?? Any better way other than grabbing a Male plant??

Either STS or colloidal silver are more reliable methods for creating feminized pollen. Take clones of each and reverse one and pollinate the other. It's a fairly simple process. But if you're serious about breeding then you'll get some regular seeds and work with both true males and females. Preferably IBL's or landraces. You can get some good genetics from many of the European breeders. There are some US breeders still working old lines but most of the stuff these days seem to be just crosses of crosses/pollen chucks, and out the door for $20 a seed.
