hey guys, thought id do my first DIY. As alot of people know chemicals can be released from smoking out of aluminum. Im not gonna get into the health issues of smoking out of aluminum, just going to give an alternative. my buddies dad has been making these for years and i recently had a crack at it.

you need to get ahold of a metal lathe and 5/16 inch 303 stainless steel bar. cut the stock ss to your desired length and face both ends off using the facing tool in the lathe

then drill a hole from end to end with a smaller bit, size is depending on preference.

not pollish it up with sand paper, put a grip in with a handy little tool i know nothing about. and you should have a finished product similar to this

303 is cooking grade stainless, glass works too, this is for the guys who like to make things from nothing

Really cool DIY chillum, not gonna lie man. Not sure if most people have access to the machinery you have to make those but still a pretty bomb idea.

There was a dude a while back who made REALLY sick one hitters.... out of titanium that changed colors and shit, crazy...

Try to look for that thread, I just did couldn't find it

Or does anyone else remember what I'm talking about?

I started using brass one hitters back in 1979, started making my own one hitter in 1980 out of alum.
SO, smoking out of alum is bad for you?.....SO, smoking out of alum is bad for you?.....SO, smoking out of alum is bad for you?.....haven't affected me much.......haven't affected me much.......haven't affected me much.......(said with a crazed look on face)..... LOL

Center drills can be used to make a nice tapered bowl in the end. What size center drill to use depends on the outside diameter of your stock. The size drill I use to drill thru is a size just bigger then a hanger wire used to clean it out with. I also use the center drill to clean out the bowl when it gets all gunked up.

If anybody is interested pm me, i can do custom length and width, hit size, i can sand blast a stenciled design or initials, i can do engraving. take a look at the stock in the first picture and anything you can imagine from that is probably possible. I also make ones about 1/3 that size for putting blunts and joints into when they get small, no more yellow fingers or res on your lips. message me for more details
