No I haven't pushed the issue, he said he was going to sort it out when back in the office..

Looks like the data sheet is available though I would of liked to see all that info on each of his pages for each strip.
Maybe that asking for the moon on a stick though ey.

i was looking at the 3k 90cri strips.

I'm still learning all the tech stuff, so those sheets and all the specs don't mean much to my brain, but when guys like you are hesitating or having concerns , it's makes me pause .

Wanted to check with you, see if you had decided they were still a good investment for your garden or not.

Well im not the brightest diode on the board mate.. (thanks random blame for that one)
But to me they are quality strips at a great price, its only the data not been right on the site that annoyed me as lots of people wouldn't realise the 90cri is lower lm/w, but they do have the nominal figures now, just would of liked to see the scale lm/w to current.

Like random blame said to me, a mix of 80 and 90 cri would be great. lm/w is not a fair representation of the performance.
When it comes the time to help my mates make the switch to LED I will certainly not be discounting these.

Cant state strongly enough that there are folks on here who are far far more clued up than me.:bigjoint:

Thanks man, appreciate the help

Is there a thread where you and randomblame discussed this? can you link me if so please? was his mix a 50/50 split of 80cr/90cr?

The 80cri strips i see on cutter are 5k, is that the correct strips do you know?

It was just in private convo we spoke about it.

I see a lot more info on that link for the 90cri, which is awesome. But yeah he suggested 50/50 80cri to 90cri.
There should be options for a lot more than just 5k in 80cri, think there is 3500k and possibly 2700k and dothers.

I would just PM random blame and ask him what he thinks. He wont mind. :bigjoint:

Explains a lot lol I ordered 8 of your Mcpcb strips they haven't shipped out yet so I wanted to add 8 more to that order. You make the best Mcpcb strips. I'm going 90cri 1792 diodes from 2700 to 6500k

Do you want to build a light that does it all, or is it just for flowering? IMHO either of the 90CRI choices would make a great flowering light.

These fixtures will be covering a 3x12 table full of clones, at most the clones will veg for 2 weeks max under these lights, most times no veg. So ill call it pretty much strictly flowering lights.

I just read your vesta thread and seen mention of the 2700k 90cri doing well in flower.

I have also heard that the 2700k and 3000k 90cri strips would do better mixed with the 3000k/3500k/4000k 80 cri

So this is where im at, just trying to get the right spectrum or make the right combo choice.

The Vesta strips seem to perform beyond their photon count for sure. I bought 6 Cutter 3000K/90CRI strips and I'm happy with the performance also. I've used them on cuttings, young plants and flowering plants.

I like the advice of Dali Hempy, "Be humble and let your plants teach you." My plants seem to like the 90CRI. My 2 cents worth, don't overthink it. I think you'd be happy with the 3000K/90CRI. Please post what you go with and how it works for you.

Thanks buddy

I made a decision.

30 x 3000k 90cri
30 x 3000k 80cri

3 fixtures 20 strips per, running on 480s

Thanks for all the help.
