Cutting a grow tent

Any ideas for reducing the height of a tent?
Im gonna start a grow in my basement, it has 78" cielings anda less than flush floor. The tents i can find that are 4x8 are 80" tall. I could get 2 4x4 tents but they are 78" which leaves no wiggle room.
Thinking about cutting the vertical posts on a too tall tent and somehow joining the ends together to reduce the height. Not thick enough to weld so im thinking epoxy?
Any ideas?

I would find a diameter of tube just bigger than the tent pipe and use that as a sleeve. Couple of screws to keep things set in place and you should be golden :blsmoke:

Done it in every way check this..
100x100x200 tent

I got it in a gap....bare with me...

Top was 70x100x185
Bottom 60 x 77

Haha yes i squeezed it into a small ass fkk cub y hole with wonky walls...

Pipe cut it to size
Fit it loose
Use garage clips to hold the exxess material tight

Job done
Oh and a rope to keepnit up coz it was top heavy it wedged in but... paraoid vibrations lol

If you can't find tubing the right size, find some wooden dowels that fit snug inside the pipe and hit it with a dab of epoxy.

Is it a used tent u already have, if not look on Amazon they have tents shorter than that.

have you considered just framing a room up and lining it with reflective material? Sound like you are trying to grow a bunch.

check out the gorilla grow tent "shorty" the extension kit makes it 5'8" and your max height is 6'6"

I have cut down the tent poles before and used a closed end stapler and black tape to sinch up the extra tent material. It works but it isn't great looking
