so im going to start a plant
i have two babys right now
the taller one is on its fifth day today
and the smaller one is only a day old.
i am using flourecent lights.
tell me what you guys think?

hey you should consider getting some cfl lighting in there.. your plants will love it and you can put them close enough to keep from any streching.

oh yea and what kind of soil are you in.. what is the design of your grow room?? give us some details and we will help you to make it the best it can be.

its pretty basic
just a florescent light taped to a shower curtain, and hangs above the plant 2 inches.

i am using miracle grow starter soil.
and i dont know like when or how much to water, or like any nutes to give it(when there older)

Well I would start with getting some cfl bulbs.. they are cheap and work great! take a pic of your room and I will try to give ya some cheap easy suggestions to grow good.. first one is to get some foxfarm or another good soil...

how much are cfl bulbs?
and how big of a pot should i transplant my plant into, and when?
here is what my growroom looks like
i have never grown inroors, only outdoors
so i dont relly know a lot about what to do
last indoor attempt failed, so i really want to do good on this one.

first your pic didn't show of your grow room. here is a link to the spot in my journal where I started with cfl, there is a lot of good info there.. as for the cost I think I dropped like 8 bulbs for less than 30 bucks, and ya don't really need that many but the more the better.. make sure ya check the journal carefully as well cause I have two different light discussions goin on at once there.

yea that bulb wont do man... it will cause strecthing and you can a lot more out of just two or three cfl bulbs.. if ya can afford it some mylar would be great in there. can you exhaust air in there and bring fresh in?

also, i have it on a 19/5 light schedule
since its young i figured it could use an hour more light
is this bad?
should i take it down to 18/6?

but where do i go, and what wattage do i want?

my smalle plant stretched like a bitch

but luckly my other one is growing newer leaves (very tiny rihgt now) and looks very healthy, well according to me

i went to the store and got a 42W cfl and a 23W cfl
i set the 42W up but i still have to go buy something to put the 23W in.

well as the days go by my grow seems to be doing somewhat better
they fell off the tray i had them off and i had to kinda replant them
no root system got dammaged
and they still look good, i think
i am now using a 27 CFL bulb, which has 5500k
and another tube flourecent, dont know the wattage but now i know it has 6000k
i was wondering when you guys think i should water these things
cuz i just do it when the firt like inch is really dry.

anyways how do they look?...

as for watering i would water every other day or when the soil is dry about an inch down

i have noticed, that on one of the leafs on the arger plant, has a very very very tiny brown spot on it.
the other day when i went in to check on them, the light was like 3 cm from touching the plant, somehow it lowered.
but anyways
could that be why the little brown spot is there.
