Seems like yesterday I started posting on here. Some flaky dude was feeding me bad info.
Didn't take long for the real growers to flush him out. Damn, can't remember his name but the mods bounced him out, eventually.
That some BS right there.. Pisses me off to NO end when I hear of someone giving false information on growing!! :fire:

Hey dank sorry for flooding your thread but i planted one of my ko kush x timewreck the other day and it came up with the helmet still on. Not a big deal i usually just spray with water and gently work off with tweezers.

This one though i think i damaged it cause the shell was extra hard...I was wondering as this is my 1st breeding/chuck but is it maybe that the seeds when very fresh maybe should be soaked or scuffed????

Or could have been coincidence, I have run across a few stubborn beans in my time.

P.S. Hello Dank & co
lol.. :) Well, 4 the most part its best to let your seeds "cure" just like you would with the buds. I usually just let my seeds cure in the buds. I remember my Grandmother doing this with "pumpkin" seeds. She would spread them out on a newspaper and let them sit in a window seal to dry out.. However you can take seeds right off the plant and germ aswell. I have a few offspring of a flowering strain going right now. :) Grapish from the Grape-48 cross I made. I also try and help hard to crack seeds along the way like you said. I stick most of mine in a "matchbox" with fine sandpaper, shut it up, then shake the hell out of them! Works like a charm.. I also use "rapid start" for those old hard to germ beans.. :)

We do like quality around here, don't' we? Same goes for mj I guess

I know my home grown is better than what I could source on the street, lot cheaper too, well maybe after my LED pays for itself with lower electric bills this Summer!

I get my coffee from this place, just got couple lbs in this morning, yay!

Sweet Marias
http://www.sweetmarias.com/index.php

The red beans are the drying process this farmer uses. It leaves more of the red cherry on the bean. Coffee smells more like hay or popcorn when it's being roasted. That great coffee smells develops after 24 hours of rest and letting the CO2 escape. I have cool bags with one way valves on them for that purpose. Just like burping jars during the curing process, well similar.

Here is a good article on how to roast your own coffee: http://www.sweetmarias.com/instructions.php
Why hello fellow coffee roaster! It depresses me to think most people have never had fresh coffee. It goes stale so quick! I've been roasting a few times a month for years now, it also makes a great gift. Those are some wimpy Sweet Marias bags though, I prefer the 5 pounders : )

Anyway haven't talked to many roasters cool to see another one around here.

I hear ya. Same here. Just looking to broaden my horizons so to speak.. and make new friends along the way of course. I may also join another one that Stew mentioned Thseedbay, he was saying something about being able to advertise there.. Dont want to be doing that again.. Lol. The Golden Days on riu as I call um. lol When I was conducting a "free" give away to the winner who guessed the strain i was growing.. hahah :)
i joined firestax if only for the hilarious mission statement on the home page blasting the usual suspects behind these ponzi seeds scams..plus they have some gear and breeders i have never heard of.

Better low then high. I am always overfeeding slightly even though i do have a meter and use it. I just always think thyey can take another 100ppm. If there's no tip burn your not trying hard enough lol.

I was also thinking i will use plugs for them if it becomes a pattern.

I did cure the beans so that shouldn't be an issue. Maybe just had a hard head. Usually i just place my seeds into one of the tiny 2inch gh cocotek cups with my normal medium but when i have a stubborn batch i like to use rapid rooters or whatever plug is cheapest at the time.

ooooh speaking of plugs i think i have like half a tray of spongepots that sannie sent me free with an order while back

$1500 sweeeeet i think i just came. The things i would do with that. I limited myself to $300 for mj related expenses and the fan & filter will eat up 120 of that.

It's just like bad smoke. Until you've grown your own, cured it, and stored it properly, most have no idea how good it can be!

Preachin' to choir around here, these guys and gals know how to grow some dank bud.

Sounds like a good plan.

PE was my first plant I grew in 2012 under a 400w HID. Great strain, still have it in jars and it is one of my favorites.

Prosp G13 Pineapple Express

Great movie, thanks Rosey. Still like your little white dog avatar the best!

I did not know this...

Pineapple Express is a non-technical term for a meteorological phenomenon characterized by a strong and persistent flow of atmospheric moisture and associated with heavy precipitation from the waters adjacent to the Hawaiian Islands and extending to any location along the Pacific coast of North America. A Pineapple Express is an example of an atmospheric river, which is a more general term for such narrow corridors of enhanced water vapor transport at mid-latitudes around the world.

I like this one better...sticky goodness
