Dark just before harvest?

OK so, assuming the dark period does what it claims---which is a last minute push for resins, trichomes and terpenes. . .. trichomes take WEEKS to develop and ripen. This would mean the dark period would result in unripe trichomes to develop, which would adversely affect your weed.

It's bro science, bro.

Agree but given that they appear ready by inspection. I've got just about the right amount of ripening already. So I like your reply but rest assured that they're ready

Ok thanks! I'm committed now so I'll give it a go. We're you also flushing with only ph adjusted water at the same time?
For a few weeks I was using pH'd NPK of 0-3-3, (blended myself) based upon ideas in this article:

Yea I have my own recepie also but I'm doing both. Straight water for the last week and 3 days of dark. I'll report back

Some say music is beneficial to plants. Maybe combine music with the dark period. Take a peek and see if they're dancing.
‘Droppin science like Galileo dropped the orange.’ None of my ladies like the boss though.

My Tony Green beans seem to like hardcore rap & metal where my Useful’s like classic rock. Different strokes and all that, it’s a freakin puzzle.

Didn't see or taste anything significant. Maybe just a little more colors. Biggest take away for me was that it's ok to take it easy and harvest over several days lights off with water doesn't over ripen or degrade product.

I've read and listened to reports on flushing before harvest and it seems the biggest benefit is that it removes some chlorophyll. Since light increases chlorophyll I was thinking about doing 72 hours of darkness just before cutting. Has anyone tried this?
Yes you should be doing darkness before harvest. Makes buds more resinous.

Homie save yourself the hassle. Just harvest when they’re ready. I’d really like to know the basement grow in the 70’s that this originated from. Unless someone can cite a real scientific study showing it improves anything it’s complete and utter bullshit.

Its literally the definition of bro science. Your going to report back with what your eyes?

Think about that for a minute and let it simmer….can you or anyone really count the resin glands and tell if there’s more than if you did nothing? It’s crazy and definitely not scientific.

I’d put my non 3 day darkness and just harvest when ready buds against anyones on resin content and I ain’t losing. We can count the heads with a scope 1 by 1.Lmao.
