UF- why do you talk shit over the internet??

Now Im sure that you are gonna sit there and think of the best way to answer this AND to TRY and piss people off at the same time while at the same time not answering the question.....

Oh, it is possible to do that!! you just have to devote an hour of your day staring at the comp. screen not moving, eating, or drinking.... just sitting by yourself w/ nothing to do, no friends, no conversation, and no life...... then you will come up with this answer:

(fill in the blank UF, hurry)

what a stupid bitch. trick makes it sound like it's a problem to turn off the lights for a measly 5% increase in THC. get off the short bus. you aren't growing for cannabis, you're growing for THC. all the resin in the world won't get you high if it's minus the goodies. THC is more concentrated at night. remember how light degrades THC and you'll get it. :blsmoke:

I've tried 48 hours dark before harvest, and 72 hours. I've also done 24 hours of light before harvest. And I've harvested right after standard lights off (e.g. 12/12), and right after standard lights on. And I could never tell any difference. Believe me, I wanted to, but neither I nor anyone else could tell any difference.

I think it is simply the fact that the buildup of the THC and other fun ingredients takes place over a long period of time, a tiny bit added each day. So even if there is some difference, it's slight *and* it only has 2 or 3 days to make any difference at all, and won't affect the other 57 days worth (or whatever) of ingredients that have already built up. Thus, I suspect the effect, if there is any at all, is actually less than 1 percent.

Conclusion: Check your trichomes and when they're ready, get hacking, whatever the light cycle may have been the previous 12, 24, 48 or 72 hours.

I use a mh with hps for full spectrum, I believe this is a great way to do this. This current flowerings have been on 13/12 light, and I switched it to 12/12 for the last few weeks, Just cause I thought Id try 13/12. I don't think it did anything except make my power bill more.

I agree with Bongulator in that it probably makes no noticeable diff, its the strain, your lights conditions, and everythings else that makes thc potency ;)

The mh added with hps in flowering really does make denser nugs however :D

WOW i just noticed how old this thread is lol.... hmm, well I've seen this subject alot lately and just wanted to comment.
