sorry i havnt been keeping you guys updated but ive been fairly busy. there has been some rain storms hitting southern california for the last few days, and i noticed yesterday that two plants (with the denser buds) have mold. This KILLS me because i was going to harvest this nug today. instead im cutting off nugs that will probably weigh a gram.

Any advice on this situation or am i doing the right thing? cutting off the infected pieces? THANK you for the advice. i will be more prepared next season.

and i apologize for the poor quality pictures, no macro lens for me, just a old cell phone.

hmm i know mold can come in different colors, but no, in all honesty im not sure it is mold. could it possibly be bud rot?

everyone thank you, thats exactly what it is. i had a severe bud worm problem and that has to be what its from. understandably they will not be as potent, but would you say its safe to leave those nugs on for drying??

Remove the localized area where the caterpillar has damaged the bud...
Do not leave it on as it could start molding in the dead areas...

Thank you everyone, and ya i was actually going to chop that cola down, and may still because its suppose to rain again tomorrow.. i think it dried out enough today from the rain. im heading out there right now to remove the damaged buds, thanks for the tips everyone

Just cut off the affected areas and pick out the eggs and crap balls and harvest. The same thing happend to me this grow and i just pulled my green crack last weekend and while its in the drying process u can actualy shake the dry buds to make sure u got all the poop balls if not they will fall out when the buds are completly dry.....
