So a little back round. My aunt is a zoologist who married a entomologist.
Now I have talked with my uncle in law about insects for use in agriculture/herbology. Both for pest control and pollution. The conversation was not about cannabis cultivation but just in general.
Now predatory mites will feed on parts of the plant if there is no access to pray but mostly just the pollen. He prefers lady bugs and praying mantis. Probably not the best choice for growing cannabis indoors.
As for OP. Personally I would keep the strongest two try to save them. Worst case you cost yourself a few weeks that you could have spent on the next round.

I've used ladybugs before. My background?
I'm about 15 years out of the game. Life just happened and I'm not in my 20s anymore with a house to myself.. so.. now in Canada we're legally allowed 4 plants per household. I used to run 2 rooms. One for cutting my own clones with a 400w. One for flower. 2× 1000W lights. I even switched bulbs. MH for veg. HPS for flower. My carbon filter was the size of a water heater. That and exhaust blower was $1200 alone. I was in a very rural subdivision. I'm not new.. I posted in Bugs but nobody responded. I tried this section. I just wanted ppl to see my plants. I ran 2 crops of tables. Just 4x4. But that shit was so strong I couldn't even sell it to my regulars lol. They wanted soil. I'm not "new" so Lightgreen really rubbed me the wrong way.. I really appreciate all the help everyone has offered. Especially @getogrow.

My apologies I was not saying you never did your research just that you might have not looked on RIU for info first dont get me wrong if I'm not 95% sure my self I post in my journal and or message a good guy on here for his opinion. If thats no help then I will make a thread.

And these will eventually be going outside. I have a wife and kids and growing indoors isn't in the equation for me. If I lose them I'll start from seed or get more clones. I ran seeds last year. My profile pic are shots from my plants last summer at night. Thanks again @Pandora6

Hey no problem and I'm not some master grower hell this is my first round lol. But I have friends who have grown for years 10+ and my 2nd mom and dad have grown for 25+. Just been around ot most of my life is all.

I was doing fine actually it was just that get grows comment to me rubbed me the wrong way. I was civil with barbie too. Not sure if she didn't read the comment in its entirety and then she goes in her replies

Me being that person I would have looked up the product and humbled myself and said thank you..

I WOULD even put up a Million dollars that he didn't look up the product because it would have solved his Fucked up plants.

Understandable I was only giving examples of things that make me short tempered.

Both parties here have been slightly rude to one other in my opinion is all.

I dont see it as trade secrets it's just information what I have I will share and I hope others do the same. I know I'm a optimist.


If I had no information about the product or technique I would probably ask a few preliminary questions before looking on google. I.e provide more information about my problem and ask if it is the best option.

i looked it up right away .... my head aint quite as big as yours. ive never heard of those and wanted to see for myself. You are obviously the wrong pwerson to ask about them in real world. I can talk all about lady bugs an how many mites they can eat ......but it dont work that way in the real world. they fly into the light an die. They dont like to live in a grow area.
Id be willing to bet a milly thay you have no idea what the OP's problem even was cause it sure wasnt pests. You were too busy bashing people.

Fight nature with nature ,lady birds .Plenty about atm.I collect them while I'm out in a small box ,and just put them in my rooms ,they love it.Once it looks like the plants are all good I just leave door open ,so they can get out .But I often find then in the same area has my room.They just be eating dust mites,so ilove the little critters .

Dude nobody talks about lady bugs in cannabis as away to fight bugs. Only those not knowing anything about growing.

People that say lady bugs are not doing this cannabis thing for real.

That being said, ladybugs can be used with certain "aphids."

Natural insect control
Koppert International doesn't use ladybugs for cannabis control of (spider mites / root aphids / leaf miners /thrips)

No major / indoor operation uses that. Sorry you are using stuff off the top of your head from grade 5- 7 biology class.

This person MENTIONED ladybugs in cannabis prevention in 2020. Read a book.

Original posters first few words are about spider mites which = A pest.

Than You stupid ASS says you would be willing to bet a million. Even though he mentions it. I can see natural how life works for you outside the forums.

Realized my 4 little Gorilla Glue ladies had spider mites yesterday. I know what they are. I battled with them years ago. So I did what I used to do years ago. I sprayed the under sides of leaves with dish soap and water.
