Just want to say what great service I have had from DCSE over the years and it continues even through these crazy times. My payment took over a month to go only one state to DCSE via Priority Mail and Paul was kind enough to not only hold my order waiting for my payment to get to him, but he kept the freebies that were supposed to come with it even though they were in high demand. He could have easily given them away to another order that had payment come in since he wasn't even sure mine was coming, other than my word, but didn't. He is a stand up guy I have ordered from for over 4 years and can't recommend highly enough. He also does a lot of good work for veterans and has a discount code for vets on his site if you didn't already know about it.

Too bad about the Canabeizen strains not working out. I'm guessing by now they might be a bit on the old side??? I rocked their stuff years ago and used it to cross with my local outdoor strain, (because we have similar climates). I didn't get them from DC seeds though, I got the seeds from Patience, one of their growers. He sent me six or seven strains, I picked through them for keepers growing them inside first and crossed them with my local outdoor strain "Posen". Below are Posen X Second Sight.

He sent me an e-mail a year ago or something like that and I sent him some crosses from his second site and my strain and I think I sent him some crosses from my strain and his pineapple chakra too. About a dozen local guys are growing crosses of crosses of those crosses this year outdoors around here, they worked out good for them too, LOL..

This picture of Second Sight X Posen is four plants from three years ago. They had just started budding in that pic, by the time they finished they were well over the 7 foot fence and they finished nice, no mold. So are they shit? LOL IDK by now they probably are, sitting around getting old and they were hard ones to pop back then. They certainly worked out good for me and a whole bunch of people around here. But I don't doubt for a second that being as old as they are, that they might be hard to sprout and not all that happy if you can get them to sprout. I'm guessing they are a minimum of 5 years old and who knows how well they were handled before they were ever packed up and shipped to Paul.

By the way, What DO seed banks do when they are sitting on old seeds? Do growers offer to replace them with fresh seeds, like some suppliers of perishable foods do? Are the seeds on consignment? What's the deal? Obviously Paul is going to make good, but is it costing him money because he has to fix it?

Five years isn't that old for seeds at all, but honestly folks if you want high germination rates it's not a bad idea to buy something that's been grown in the last year, because that way, even if they haven't been handled perfectly, you still have the best chances of getting good germ rates and healthy seedlings. There are tricks and stuff to have better rates and old seeds can produce fantastic plants, but nice fresh correctly dried seeds are the cats ass. For a lot of us old growers it's just been standard practice to start from fresh seeds each season, maybe once in a while doing a back cross or something, but it's rare that I have started a grow season with anything but fresh last years seeds. Just a habit thing, I guess because that's just how you got new seeds back in the day, when if you were lucky you had come across a handful of real good strains that people would share with you. You either made your own crosses or you didn't get no crosses. LOL

I think it depends on the seed bank, just like things often vary by other retailers. Banks that care about customers and repeat business will often handle things internally. I would imagine there are some breeders who like to take care of things personally too, just like the items that include a sheet telling you to contact the manufacturer with an issue rather than returning to the retailer.

With regard to how banks sell seeds, I think there's a lot of variance on those deals. I think most often the seed bank is basically a retailer, who purchases the inventory outright for a set amount, then sells for 1.5-2x the price they paid. I assume there are often some consignment deals in place at times, too, since I've seen arguments to that effect on other forums/IG.

DROPS AT MIDNIGHT (00:00) EST TONIGHT!
Ziggy's Stardust (F1) regular seeds [80's Skunk x Romulan]

Collaboration with @katsubluebird and @romulangenetics
Smooth is the best word to use when describing the smoke of this one. She is gentle and not all up in your face with potency. Not weak or lacking in any way, but certainly not the couch locking, life-altering effects that you'll find in a lot of cultivars. Ziggy's won't send you into a spiraling couch-lock experience, nor will she set you into a frenzy of house cleaning. Perfect for chilling out, talking with friends, and relaxed weekend vibes with exceptionally long-lasting effects.

Smells and tastes have some Skunk terps present but they are mostly notes and hints, not absurd in your face Skunk terps. Those looking for only skunk terps won't want to rush to add this one to their collection, as I don't think you'll be finding straight Skunk phenotypes within this progeny. But my sample group was rather small compared to the larger groups of females we had with the others tested during this run, so you never know what you'll find with different phenotypes/genotypes popping up in your own garden.

Sweet Skunk, Pine, Earthy Acrid Funk, and hints of floral notes can be expected as smells. Tastes have more variety as each plant had its own unique combination, and because of this, I would venture to guess that these will be excellent for pheno-hunting. There are bound to be some serious gems to be found here, as every plant we grew out was a keeper in its own rights.

Brisco Fems Now Available!

Now entering its fourth year, Brisco’s Bargain Beans has established itself as the industry leader in providing top-flight genetics at affordable prices. You can find Amos on Instagram and Rollitup, but mostly at phenohunter.org, the internet’s coolest weed hangout!

Brisco County Line F1 (Country Line Diesel x Orgi F1)
J James of County Line Genetics’ took reversed Orgi pollen and doused his keeper Blueberry Diesel cut that’s known as County Line Diesel by his followers and custies. Combining two potent but diverse flavor profiles opens up a world of cool possibilities at Brisco’s notorious bargain prices.

Orgi S1
Using f1 seeds from Brisco’s original flagship strain, J James of County Line Genetics selected and reversed an outstanding female plant to create these new female seeds. Grown and loved by many. Bodhi’s legendary Goji OG x TGA’s trippy and tasty Agent Orange make large and delicious colas in 9 to 10 weeks of 12/12 lighting with 4 weeks of veg recommended for the best yield.
Plus yields of tasty, trippy buds in 8 – 10 weeks.

Give Country Line Genetics a follow @county_line_genetics2.0
Plus each of Brisco Fems will come with a free half-pack of County Line Genetics Homecoming Queen (Baguette x HS Sweetheart) regs!

Guess I'll bump the thread with plant pics of my Bubba Trouble autos I picked up from DC Seed Exchange. Also just received my new order of seeds from them in the same quick turnaround. I grabbed some of Gnome Automatics, The Anvil strain that I've heard really good things about. Going to run it outside this summer with some of Magic Gardens Nite Blood autos so they finish before the fall rains set in. I couldn't resist Ronin Gardens new release of The Ripple which had bum wine x grape crinkle X Tyrone Stomper. Everything I've grown with Bum Wine has been really good meds both in terps and yield. Thanks once again to Paul and DC Seed Exchange for providing killer service, great genetics and fast delivery.IMG_20211203_111733086.jpgIMG_20211205_125038676.jpg

Nice! I don't have the budget or room/plant count to play around with a bunch of breeders. I'm sure there are a ton of great auto breeders out there but the stuff I've run from Magic and Ronin have tolerated my occasional, inadvertent tough love really well. They also had really good prices for the quality of the buds I've grown out. I heard the Anvil from Gnome/Mandolorian genetics produced some one pound plants and I'd like to be able to donate more meds to other vet's that can't grow their own from my outdoor this year so I bit the bullet on what to me are some pretty expensive seeds. Hopefully between the four plants I'll harvest enough for myself and have plenty to donate. Last year's outdoor was an eye opening experience for sure. I got my ass kicked by bugs and late season bud rot from the rains. Live and learn, I'll try early season autos started indoors this year in big pots with all organics.

I grabbed some g13/hashplant and monkeyballs from Hazeman and the sr71 purple indica seeds. It took a bit for my payment to get there, but everything came back my way fast. Good communication from Paul. I would use DC again....

My only thing is you guys need to drop the manifest destiny seed from your bank. That shit is straight racist against native people.
