Dealing with different heights in perpetual grow?

So i am running a 3x3.5x7ft 600w flowering room. I have 1 plant that is in to flower about 21 days. Now i want to throw in 5 more plants. So i did last night. The old lady is about 3ft tall. The new ladies are only about 12in tall. Should i just leave my light where it is and let the new plants catch up? Or should i put the small ones up on something to raise them up closer to the light? Let me know how you guys deal with that...

Thanks

I've used books, cd cases as "riser" to keep my short plants equal distance from my light source as my taller ones. As they catch up in height I remove the my 'risers' so the top of the canopy is always level and same distance from the light.
With that being said, the biggest gap I've had was maybe 5 to 8 inches. A 2 foot gap, I'd definitely rise the lower ones.

Generally with perpetual you want to have your room setup so that the plants always have optimal light. Either by having multiple lights that can be adjusted when plants come in. Or having different sections for plants at each part of the cycle.

One thing you can do if you don't want to move lights around/don't have a lot of space is never grow them tall enough that your light won't adequately cover the entirety of your plants.

Well my light covers the area no problem. Its the intensity of the light that i wondered about. Im sure 600w a couple of feet away still has enough lumens to get them growing. I think ill just flip some pots over and set them on top of the pots to lift them up.

That should take care of it, I've done it a few times myself.

Intensity is part of coverage so if you're worried about penetration you worried about not having enough coverage for your area. A 600 hps ime does 2.5-3' down without any problem at all in a moderately thick canopy.

If you're planning on doing a 6 plant perpetual you also shouldn't have vegged that plant so long. If you get it healthy that plant alone will take up all of your space as it flowers...

If that's a 600 watt hps you can raise it higher. Height won't be your issue in that space.

I also noticed you have a fan above the light blowing down on your plants. This is essentially blowing the hot air from your bulb onto your canopy. Even if your cool tube is mostly effective, there will still be heat. I would try to get your circulation fan underneath your ood into the canopy.

That makes sense. I just don't know how you're going to fit 5 more plants In there when that one doubles in size. I'm not trying to put your setup down, just giving you stuff to think about from my experience in small spaces.

You might be ok. The big one is going to need more room pretty quick. It looks like you have more floor space than I thought. Looks like it could be a productive run.

I hope so. Im a legal mmj patient so i want to make sure i have enough medicine for a few months. Once summer comes i have to shut it down or my bills get to high. Im hoping to pull at least 10 onions. I can store my buds a few places to stay within my leagl amounts. I cant be without my medicine.
