Decarb in a bag?

A week or so ago I was reading up on curing in a oven/turkey bag and came across a article where it mentioned using a oven bag to decarb for making edibles. They say it will help with the odor, just wondering if anyone has tried it, or can think of any cons to doing so.

I hear of people using bags in boiling water which makes sense cause of waters boiling point but me personally I wouldnt submerge plastic in boiling water I'd be worried about leeching compounds and whatnot from the plastic

I bought one of those ardent nova decarboxylators and haven't looked back. Its brainless lol.

I don't understand how using a bag makes a difference. The process is on a molecular level, based on heat and time.

I have tried various decarb methods including the oven bag. The most terpene retention came from decarb in glass baking dish with parchment paper flat on the bottom with dry broken small buds or trim. Then tightly sealed around the top and sides with aluminum foil so no fumes can escape. 35 mins at 240 degrees in oven, lastly and important is to let it completely cool on a rack or something before removing foil. Presto some knock out CCO!

Decarb in a mason jar. I store in a jar. Decarb in the same jar and make butter or oils in the same jar in a crock pot with water. Fast easy and don't loose anything by moving from place to place
