Decided to stop using air stones

How many grow tables are you running?

I am running a Grow and Flow (Ebb and Flow) and have a 55 gallon rez that I keep about 36 gallons of solution for my plants. I have an air disk and a 550 gph pump in the bottom of the rez.
I am considering removing the air disk as I feel that the 550 gph pump move enough solution to pick up all the O2 needed in the rez.
Any thoughts?

No grow tables, I am running the Active Aqua Flow and Grow but only have the 6 - 5 gallon pot system.

So you are just circulating your solution to the buckets correct? That should be enough circulation to re-oxegnate your solution. How much solution is pumped into each bucket?

Yes, sort of, the rez is 30 gallons and the recirculation pump is set to start every hour and run for 20 minutes. I have a stand pipe at about 10 inches above the solution level and it is set to move the solution in a vortex motion.
Stand pipe attached to pump at the 12 o'clock position. The black tube between the pump and rez wall is the Torus Xph model pH stabilizer. The pump at the 8 o'clock position pumps into the Flow and Grow controller and is gravity fed to the individual grow pots.

Here is the setup of the Active Aqua Flow and Grow system. Three grow pots on each side of the controller.20220625_105628.jpg

The amount of solution pump into the grow pots is approximately 3.5 to 4 gallons, every 3 hours and the solution stays in the pot for one hour then it is pumped back to the rez via waterfall.

They are Autos and already into the forth week of 8 to 10 weeks.
So whatever I get I will be happy, this was a test run.
I have either Dos Si Dos feminized seeds for my next grow or I have some GG4 and GSC Auto's I may go with.
I am still learning how to start the plants and get a root system established outside of the pots. Not anything like starting them in coco. Tried rockwool cubes on this run, did not like them at all, will be switching to Root Riots for future grows.
What are your thoughts on starting them in one gallon smart pots with coco, establishing a good root system and then washing the roots of the coco prior to putting them in Flow and Grow Hydroton pots?

That should be plenty to keep your oxygen levels good

I am not a big fan of rock wool cubes my self I actually start everything in soil and the wash the roots off before I put them in my hydro system. I doo that with my vegetables and my cannabis plants. It works out well for me to do it that way

When I first started back growing in 2008, not know anything about hydro I got 6 very nice high quality clones in solo cups of soil. GDP, OG Kush, and 4 others that I can't remember the name of now.
I set up and DWC in a closet, washed the roots and planted in the DWC tote. 5 of the plants crashed within the first few days, the GDP was the only one to survive but that did not last long. about the third week into veg the roots went sour due to heat and I lost that plant also. Very sad day here.
Now that being said I have successfully transplanted from coco solos to and ebb and flow system we setup for a friend and it worked great.
Now that I am growing in an ebb and flow system, just started and this is my first attempt, I attempted to use rockwool cubes to start the plant and it was a cluster fuck. Planted 10 seeds only four made it. I will never use rockwool again, I have purchased Root Riots which I have used before and will be using those to start my seeds from now on.
