aero clones straight into hydroton...ive noticed a little trelice helps cuz it's kinda windy in there. ;) that and this was my first time veg'n under MH and that seems to fix the stretching problem I've always had with this strain. so flush with plain water and work my way up every day with more and more nutes? what's the real proceudure? even a good link would be great. thanks for coming from that other thread. much appreciated!

they will get better with plain water...three weeks into flowering? know anyone that's hydro pro?
im not sure...if its a lockout then the answer is yes but if its a def. then not quite...there are many many hydro growers on here a good one that comes to mind is #1Raiderfan420 he has an ebb and flo grow goin on right now...and check out reggaerican who does alot with hydro...im sure u will run into many hydro growers

Its mainly magnesium deficiency (with a little bit of K def thrown in there), you're doing great keeping the pH stable at 5.7 but try and keep it around 6.0 even around 6.3. N, K, Mg, Ca, S, Mo, are all elements available to the plant at a pH of 6.5 and higher, so keeping your pH that low is adversly affecting your plants. To supplement magnesium add a couple of teaspoons of epsom salt per every gallon of nutrient water you use.

Magnesium Deficiency - Causes yellowing on the leaves that mixes with the green creating a marbeling affect, which then leads to leaves spotting and dying (turning that nasty brown color)
Potassium Deficiency - Leads to an upward leaf curl on the edges and tips of the affected leaves then said tips and edges will turn brown and die (just like Mg)
Phosphorus Deficiency - Makes your stems purple.

Flushing procedure:
Hydro-
Empty res, and fill with clean RO water - run your system for 3 days, refilling with clean RO water whenever the res is empty (within those 3 days), at the end of the 3 days empty the res and refill with 50% nutrient water, work that for a week or half week then bump them up to 100%
Soil-
water plants with RO water, 3x the amount of the plant base (5gal bucket = 15gal water), continue watering for about a week w/ clean water, after about a week continue w/ your normal watering schedule w/ about 50% nutes the first watering to 75% or 100% on 2nd or 3rd watering

When doing hydroponics, always use RO water. Or water that is under 50ppm (which i believe the max rating for RO water) is good too. For Anyone else who says they've gotten away with using tap water they are just lucky (some places around the world have super clean tap water, try not to use it if its anything over 100ppm).

Enjoy!

So, I let that half strength res run for a day, not looking better, but not much worse. I'm going to run plain R/O water, but for 3 days? really? isn't that a little overdoing it now that they're def like crazy? I'm really just trying to confirm this theory so I don't end up killing what I"ve got left. i'd atleast like to salvage a personal bag to get thru the next harvest.

oh and also you dont need RO water for hydro. tap water is fine
that is a false! with dirt ro is not necessary, but in many cases depending on where you live it is 100% a must with hydro...

without pics id would say (calmag) if there are purple/red spots starting to occur. if not..ph lvl you say theyre fine butttt................................
also just take off feeding for a week. straight water..change res everyday for the first 3 days after 7 days go back to nutes
so you should totally flush your plants but one thorough flush should be enough...

Looks like a Ph problem and also possible lock ouy.
yes ph!!! im gonna guess its cause you have been adjusting your ph regalarly??
if you are using advanced nutes they have ph buffers in them and you should only be adjusting your ph once b4 adding your nutes and not once after that!!!!! this is a huge problem with many many many growers today that are venturing off using these high tech nutes for the first time... set it and forget it is the mentality to have with buffers...

dump out your res and start from scratch!! you should be fine after flush, just use a mild solution for the first few days...

one more thing your ph should be 5.5 not 6.3 like someone reccamended

but I thought PH perfect hasn't been released yet...until i see "edta" or something after every guaranteed analysis. and even then...not really ganna trust that!

well im not sure where you live or how old your nutes are but the new product already has them in it where im at... you need to know this!!! to be sure check the bottle then refer to the mfg web site or something, this is crucial info to know...

also this thread is already several days old, what have you done thus far to solve problem and what results have you had ??
im working in the lab right now so i will check back in a few...

well...I ran some clearex in 25 gal of water for an hour and switched that water out for fresh R/O water...beginning irrigation with that now. Should I put some Cal mag in there? my healthiest plant is now looking a little cal def.

well you know i dont like playing around with that cal/mag and other addatives cause your nutes are sapposed to be completely balanced already... usually when a prob like that happends in hydro the prob can easily be fixed with nothing more than a flush and a jentle diet for a few days...

some people might disagre with me, but diferent folks ya know!!! i dont wanna recreate the wheel or anything i just wanna grow some dank!!!

Oh further note, flushing should only be done if your plants are showing severe nute burn, switching from veg to flower nutrients and the last 3 days of flower (and yes 3 days is not bad, I've had to flush for a week before). Running clearex + RO water = Flushing (Flushing is basically cleaning out non used nutes to alleviate some nute buildup, both within the plant and the res)

If you have already flushed (for 3 days) and started on 1/2 nutes theres no need to flush again.

really, thankyou for the encouragement. it helps. anyway, I've been kicking back to watch and see how they react to flushing, and then light nutes...seems to me like flushing didn't do anything but make the healthy ones deficient, and light nutes has now compounded the problem. my healthiest plant wit not a single yellow leaf now shows all types of deficiencies, PH has not been fluxuating out of 0.1 range. so I'm not messing with it. bout to change the res tomorrow cuz it's been 7 days...tempted to do it now. will take more pics when lights go out.

dude why would you be having problems from flushing?? almost like you have shitty water quality or something?? my moms have not had any nutes for three weeks cause i been cloning alot lately... all i been doing is folier spraying with staygreen once a week!! sure they have not been growing as fast as they could but they are not deficient in anything...

IDK man, they just keep getting worse and worse. nothing seems to stop. changing res again today, going for 700ppm...think I should skip the CAL mag this time, maybe I'm overloading them like you said?
