Dehumidifier in lung room or tents?

So I'm two months into my project and have 3 tents (two 3mx3m and one 1mx3m) in an outdoor lung room.

This room is quite exposed to the elements so whatever is happening outside is easily transmitted inside. It makes trying to control the indoor environment a lot of fun!

I'm using a couple of regular dehumidifiers at the moment but its time to upgrade so just wondering if anyone has any advice on what to get and whether I should go for a large commercial dehumidifier and just place this in the lung room or would I be better off with two decent units in each of the large tents?

Anyone of you guys got experience with this?

Thanks

I run mine in the main room so the warm air from it gets blown into the air coming out of the ac. I have it set to 45% and run my exhaust fans on high if the tent is packed and flowering. This keeps the rh in the tent around 50% and peaking at 54% for a short time at lights out. I have the ac set to 50%, so if 2 tents are flowering it can kick in to help out if needed. If it's cloudy out and summer it can get up there.
I do the same with a humidifier in the winter.

Mine blows some pretty warm air. I'm not sure how well that would do in a tent.

Bare in mind that for a dehu to work you need to slow down the air exhaust.. I would link the 2 tents together and have a larger tent and use one big dehu in there.

I did this... I had 2 tents and now joined them together and its made things so much more simple.

How big is yoir lung room? I don't get the point if the lung room isn't in a good state. If its too small then the air won't be in the lung room to be dehimidified

Sounds nice a nice setup. And yes, I don't really need the extra heat in the tent from a dehumidifier unless positioned directly under the extraction fan but then would it be dehumidifying the room correctly positioned there?

Interesting. How do you deal with lights leaks if both tents are connected and one is in veg whilst the other is flowering?

A better solution might be to improve the insulation of the lung room?
It would but it's not possible in this instance. Sometimes you just have to work with what you've got.

Good point. I have the room pretty maxed out. It's about 350 sqft but the roof is quite high. My tent space totals 230 sqft. Would you just stick to individual units in each tent then?

If you join the 2 tents then you have one big grow... not one in veg and one in bloom... far less hassle that way anyway.

I was trying to do what you say and harvest every 5 weeks... but honestly not worth the hassle...one big grow is easier.

In the past I had 2 tents linked together ... only by ducting... and the dehu air went fro. One tent to another... the dehu being in the 1st tent....

Not I joined both tents together into one grow I would never try 2 tents again... waste of time and duplication of effort.

Best in the lung room. They'll heat up your tents too much and take up space. I make sure dehumidis are on when the lights go off to control RH spikes.
