Okay well, i have a small space available that im going to be growing around 2 plants in. I will start off with 6 or so to make sure i end up with 2 budding plants. Im going to say everything that im going to do and id like to get some input. I have 4 42 watt flourescent lights that i can use. They each put out 2700 lumens. I will be using clones from a friend so, should they go directly into soil or I could use this pellet greenhouse that i have? The main problem for the setup in my opinion is ventilation. Should that matter if im using flourescents on just 2 plants? I havent decided on the nutrients yet but i'll have a while before i need to. The potting soil is tiger growth. But basically should i just stick them on a 24 hour cycle for a week or two then go `18/6 until flowering? Ok give me suggestions.

You def. need ventilation of some sort. Outtake if nothing else, but intake and outtake would be ideal. Give us some dimensions of the setup. Will you be able to put lights closer or move plants closer to lights? CFL require closeness. If you are getting clones make sure they have a good root establishment before switching into flowering. YOu don't want to flower them too small or you wont get much. Start with that. Get a fan, find a way to vent that sucker. You need good airflow. Get a thermometer to watch your temps.

Hopefully more people will add to this.

Thanks. I knew i was going to end up havin to do somthin about airflow. Basically its 15" wide and 2 feet long so not much room. I plan on keeping the lights close but from what direction, directly above i would assume. I guess i can cut holes in the door. Exactly how should they be placed in relation to where the plants are growing? I also have a fan, i forgot to mention. Also would i be able to veg them for only a couple days then throw them into flower?

With the CFLs, you'll need to keep them within a few inches of the plants, basically close enough that you don't burn the plants from the heat, which will be close since CFLs don't put off much heat at all. Directly above the plants is where you want the lights.

Also, with only CFLs...you'll be veggin' for a while. Plan on at least a month or two if you want any yield from the garden.

Hopefully this helped a little bit.

I'll look for some links that will help you.
