Did 48 Hours off Dark to start flower Work? You Judge, exactly 14 days "exactly" since switch to 12-12

So I jumped the gun and tried to "controversial" techniques on my grow...from extreme defoliation in veg. To extreme Lst and keeping my plants super short and bushy. 16 Days of Veg with lights on 24 hours to get the nodes as short as possible. Also I gave them 2 weeks of cooler temps and high humidity around 70 and 70...Then Brought it up to 85 degrees for two weeks with high humidity. I dropped Humidity to about 60 for the first 12 weeks of flower till where i am now and I dropped it to 35-40 and the temperature around 80. The last month of flower I'll bring the temperature back down to 70-75 with humidity 20-25 percent to bring out flavors and protect my tasty terpenes... Ok I digress the point of this post was I'm exactly at the two week mark since I switched to 12-12....

*Info*
Strains Sour-D, GSC, and Blue Dream...all at the exact same point except the Sour-D the largest plant in the back left is about 3 weeks older then the other plants...it gt trained the MOST AGGRESSIVELY the roots are literally visible at the very top of the soil when I test for dryness in the 5-gallon fabric pot and the stem is about the size of a RockWool square I'd show you a picture but I can't...
MEDIUM: FoxFarm OF..... One Hydro Late to the party by about 10 days because i had to wait for the roots to hit the water (next time if there is a next hydro I'll make sure the roots are longer to beginning with)
Nutrients GH Flora Series: Never Followed to Package...Since I knew FFOF has Nutes in it I went very conservative...Feeding equal parts cal-mag part 1,2,3 at about 300PPM every other feeding until flower started Ph at 6.7 for dirt and 5.6ish for hydro (of course I let it creep up to 6.2 before I adjust it)

Now that I'm in flower I feed 1 part cal-mag 1 part part 1 (micro) and 4 parts part 3 (bloom) so a 1-1-4 ratio? LoL I figured why buy supplements that have extra p and K when I have plenty of P and K in my Bloom...just use more..?? So I have been gradually going up in PPM's to where i'm currently at 1100 every feeding unless I notice any kind of leafs burns if so then the next feeding is plain PH'd Water.... I plan to add blackstrap molasses here next week I'm going to order some from amazon.

Question:
For day 14 since turning the lights back on; Am I in front of where I should be from making the switch to 12-12, a little bit a head, exactly where I should be, slightly behind, or I wasted two days of darkness when I could have been growing. 20210406_064708.jpg

Looks a bit ahead compared to my grows. Some strains (for me) take 2 weeks just to start seeing the beginning of flowers. I typically grow sativa leaning strains.

Yea my Sour-D is straight sativa...I thought they tend to be somewhat slower in developing but it's exactly where my Indica GSC is...Well it's mainly indica right like 80% leaning?

I kinda felt like I was ahead a little bit...judging by the pictures I see online where other people are....some people call the first 10 days after lights on the transition period...I'm not sure the exact terms, but I feel like I'm about a week in front of where people say I should be.....

Looks about normal to me
So Are you saying the 48 hours of darkness pre-flower is a myth? I wish I would have done a side-by-side comparison....unfortunately I don't know when I will be able too since I have a veg area and flower tent....Awaiting the veg tent to arrive via amazon....I did this grow in just one tent

I didn’t say anything was or wasn’t a myth. I’ve had pistils in 3 days and I have had them take 2 weeks from flip.
I wasn't being condescending....sorry if I sounded that way...I was truly asking a question. I had pistils before I flipped...but I started from clones could that have something do with it? I just had convinced myself I was going to have to wait 2 weeks just to start to see my first flower So I was surprised when it took 8 days and then they've just been getting bigger (I know that's an obvious observation but..) But yea I'm just excited and curious about how this is going to end up.

Yes having clones makes a big difference. That plant is sexually mature and ready to go.
That is a big factor on how long the flowering switch takes for any plant.
If it's not sexualy mature in veg (sativa leaning usually mature slower), it will take longer to show flowers.
So a clone has probably been sexually mature since it was rooted, all it took was the lights to switch and it was ready to go

I’d have to stay it’s mythical and reeks of bro science, if the claim is it makes plants jump ahead a week or even days.
Could something very minimal have been achieved? I’m listening.
You’ve skipped 12hrs of photosynthesis, replaced with darkness, it would almost certainly trigger more of the phytochrome response in a plant, but it’s proven 12 hours of darkness is sufficient to trigger flowering in every cannabis strain, well understood science.
We also understand photosynthesis, skipping it for 12 hours doesn’t make huge sense to myself

Hey I'm not arguing....again I feel that it might have gave me a few days...especially if you subscribe to the notion that darkness causes a plant to build up certain levels of a chemical and when that chemical gets high enough it induces flowering. Then for someone who gave their plant limited darkenss during veg...either 24-0 or 20-4 then the extra darkness might benefit the plant in giving it a kickstart in building up those chemicals? I think i read that somewhere....

Backed Science? Actual Experience? Or Opinion?
If the 48 hour darkness were effective (or even neutral, but it saves electricity!), you can bet every major commercial producer on earth who has to answer to shareholders would be doing this. The fact is that's not how photoperiodic responses in any green plant work. It's not the length of a single night.

Plants have clocks inside them and get to know what time to expect morning and evening. This is known as the Circadian Oscillator, and the plant responds to the changes in frequency of this oscillation - the plant's circadian rhythm. Much of this mechanism is now understood on a molecular basis if you read the linked paper. To sense an established change in the frequency, it takes several sampling cycles. (Not a surprise.)

The only real paper I know of about circadian rhythm and flowering response in cannabis plants is this one.

So yeah, backed science I'm afraid to say. I wish it were true that we could save a week by another 12 hours darkness though. That would be nuts (in a good way)! Lol

TY I'm going to read the article....but I like answers based on facts great work!

looks pretty good.
Here's mine at 14 days without the 48 hours of darkness. Looks totally different. I was in the middle of a MASSIVE Stretch as you can see with my leaves just begging to the light Gods.
LoL When You get that size you can't really spot prune....I Wanna be like you when I get older!
