Did Bill C-15 in Canada get passed?

I've been trying my best to keep up with this treacherous piece of shit bill Stephen Harper has constantly forced down our throats since his election.

But it seems I've missed something rather big, or maybe I haven't, I haven't been able to find a single website that can clarify on just what the bill's status really is.

Closest I've gotten is the continual occurance of the phrase "Coming into Force", which to me would imply that the bill has been passed.

Coming into Force

Bill C-15 An Act to amend the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and to make related and consequential amendments to other Acts
In Force:15. The provisions of this Act, other than sections 10 and 11, come into force on a day or days to be fixed by order of the Governor in Council.

Coming into force information updated to May 19, 2009

So does that mean that starting 3 days ago, I can now receive 6 months in jail for a single pot plant?

Im pretty sure they havent voted on it yet, and that it got delayed. I keep seeing alot on the news and in the paper against it.

I as well as many others cannot come up with a shred of evidence suggesting that this bill has been passed and is in the progress of being implemented. Frankley, i can find a single piece of information regarding the status of this bill. Iam bumping this thread in hopes that someone else has some legit info on this fucked up bill.

No it hasn't passed.. You're subject to whats currently outlined in the CDSA, and for certain offenses the argument against force and effect on the basis of improper legislation concerning medical need constitutionality are still applicable..
Luckily the leader of a minority government can't easily force the entire country to jump onto a sinking ship..:)

AS OF TODAY IT HAS PASSED ! I JUST WATCHED THE VOTE ON CPAC, THIS IS THE GREATEST FAILURE OF THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT I HAVE EVER SEEN.

For the first time in my life, I feel truly ashamed to call myself a canadian.

My grandparents all came here on boats as infants/small kids, but I've felt atleast this betrayed a few times before.. One thing it doesn't change is the ultimate goal of not getting caught though..

I wonder if it will affect the likelyhood of conviction.. In the purest sense of the law it should not, but juries and judges aren't necessarily cogs in the conservative machine..

Nie, IMO harper is the big retarded brother of our great premier ed stelmach (AB), both hillbillies, with short-sighted agendas designed to curry favour w/ the political right wing, (which in all likelyhood most Canadians are moving towards after the plundering by liberals). I bet Preston Manning would be proud, now, not to make too big of a rant here, but, I beleive we, (cannabis users and cultivators) are being cast into enemies of the state, nearing terrorist status. Myself, I think we will have to learn to function "outside of the system" and glean insight from our American counterparts who may have more experience with these matters. I stil love my country and my province (AB), but despise our elected officials, I know I didn't vote for the Tories....
