i planted my seeds about between 2 and 2 1/2 inches deep and the soil i used seems a little to thick, maybe even to hard or solid. the soil i used was miracle grow "gardening soil" and on the back of the package it had a picture of a pot with an X through it... i figured it was for the sake of the company so i ignored it... i was wondering if it would disable the grow. i then bought some "potting soil" also from miracle grow and was wondering if i should make a transplant or something asap before its to late...THANKS!!!

I think you may have top soil (black dirt). I guess you could leave it but if it's only been a couple days dump the dirt out and find the little critters and stick them in potting soil. The roots haven't had time to develop yet if it's only been a couple days, but still be careful if you choose this method. I typically only plant mine 1/2 inch below the surface of the soil so you can almost see the seed and just wipe a little soil over it with your finger. I have a ½-3/4 inch plant in 2 days doing this. You could just leave it and see what happens but your soil won't have much for nuts to sustain the plant for long and might be really dense making it hard for oxygen to get to the roots unless you added perlite to the dirt. Good luck and don't hesitate to ask questions.
