Breeder: Dinafem
Strain: Blue Widow
Indoor/Out: Both (pic is from out)
Nutes: Very cheap 10-10-10 used lightly(Vigoro) & Organic Blackstrap Molasses(the good stuff). Indoor was Soiltabs from nirvanashop.com
Medium(indoor): Fox Farm Ocean Forest & Happy Frog mixed. Perlite added.
Phenotype: Indica heavy. Shorter in height than expected. Both plants were clones from the same original seeded mother.
Flowering time: this phenotype flowered roughly 8-10 weeks. Slightly faster flowering time outdoor than indoor IME.
Yield: Not Weighed... Buds were quite heavy, gaining most of their size in the last 2-3 weeks. Indoor buds had to be staked.
Smell: Powerful aroma... you could smell it from 30 feet away outside. Hard to describe the smell, kind of tropical sweet with a rich rubber-like skunk. No berry or "blue" hints. If anything its more like the widow in this catagory, just very pungent.
Taste: Exactly like the smell, especially in the volcano. when i vape this strain i smell it in my nose for a bit afterwards. I didnt expect the strong, unusual flavor, but its very pleasant.
Effect: Very indica IMO, but still hybrid like. The indica is more noticeable the more you keep smoking it. I even pulled a small sample a bit early and it was still pretty indica/downer like. Very heavy eyelids, bloodshot eyes, and strong apetite stimulation. Very good sleepy time buds, sometimes its a bit much right away in the morning.
Potency: Quite High! I wish i could have some tested! This has to be one of the overall strongest strains ive ever grown, out of many. The amount of resin was INSANE. It made trimming very, very hard.
Other notes: I got a great phenotype(dinafem seems to be good for that) The outdoor plant was beautiful! it was the first plant i ever got to look quite like that. The leaves and tips of the calyxes turned a deep blue-ish purple. As the plant finished flowering it had every color you could think of on a plant! The indoor plant never turned colors at all, even when growing right next to a 100% purple budded grape ape plant with the exact same conditions(600 HPS). I kept a clone of this, and plan on keeping it around. a friend was gifted the mother which since has got about 5 ft tall and probably has about 30-40 tops. We hope to spread this lovely Blue Widow around! Everyone who smokes it is impressed with it!
P.S. sorry the photo sucks.
