Shes looking good, but just way small. I still think its not a critical, but what the hell do I know, I might b the guy that's not growing them & thinks he is. In any event she looks good, & maybe she was stressed or something. I just prematurely harvested mine because of a raid & she gave me lots of nice buds, a couple that dried at 7 G's, & tons of 2 G nugs

I was looking around the forum and someone was mentioning that if autos do not get copious amounts of light (18+ hours), which mine does not because it's outdoors, the buds are more tight and compact, perhaps even more potent. I'm hoping to get a half O dry out of her. Unrealistic? On point? What do you think?

Update - July 28, 2013

Day 65

Early update today. I'm getting very close to having to chop her. No more than two more weeks I am thinking. Still haven't purchased a microscope with my broke ass, which is the only way to truly tell how mature she really is. My kitty keeps getting hairs in the girls sticky buds, which shouldn't be too much of a concern right? I'll smoke Catpiss put I'm not really down to smoke cat hair.

Hope everyone has a stoney fun filled Sunday Funday!

this thread scares me. i wanna do an outside grow and if this is all you have at 2 months i should be very afraid and just resort to inside grow. no insult to you of course something happened along the way, its just i would rather grow inside than deal with a plant barely bigger than a water bottle. what climate are you growing in?

I set out on this balcony grow more to learn about growing cannabis over anything else. Obviously I would have loved to have a plant much bigger, but I'm not disappointed by any means from this stunted girl. Obviously a yield of this size is not something financially viable, but considering this is my first outdoor balcony grow with a freebie seed, I'm not tripping too hard. She looks and smells dank in the very least. And you can see a White Widow growing right along side. Both the WW and C + plants started from seed the same day, so I'm guessing the ruderalis qualities of an autos genetics were shocked and stunted by a lack of light. No insult taken my dood

I would totally grow autos indoors if I was you after seeing how this girl reacted. I think the position of my balcony is not prime for autos with all the light they desire, but seems to be supporting another strain quite well. I'm growing in the Bay Area.

I've read around and some people say the soil is too "hot" for seedlings, meaning there is too much nutes, but my auto seems to be happy.
indoors in a low light grow cfl or led for example the plants are less demanding from my experience and that soil is a bit overkill full strength holds water like crazy

Day 72 - Critical + Auto

Just words.

So I picked up a microscope yesterday and did an inspection of the trichomes. They're mostly looking cloudy with a few amber ones here and there. I know amber trichs indicate degrading thc. I decided it was time to flush this girl with 10 gallons of water and threw her in my closet, completely sealed up so no light is penetrable with a fan on low so there isn't stale air. I have to purchase a hygrometer so I know exactly what's going on in that closet.

Fruit of my labor, as small as it may be.

Got the buds curing in an oversized jar :D but oh well. The hygrometer is in the range I want so I'm gonna cure this small stash for a while, to get the most out of my harvest and final product. The first picture is the cannabutter I made in a crock pot with the sugar leaf and bud trimmings.

Dry weight - around 8 grams
Dry trim weight - around 11 grams

Thanks to everyone who followed this journal and anyone who offered advice/comments. I'll give a smoke report on the bud when it's fully cured.

Hey Matty, Theres something wrong & like Tecdc said it could b ur soil, theres hundreds of things it could b. Like I said it sure doesn't sound like the Criticals I grow all the time, but the main thing is u got a grow under ur belt. Now u can focus on the next one & tweek it, grow some more of the Criticals so u can become more knowlegable with it. I just love them & never really have any problems with them, & they reward me so well. Try changing ur soil, maybe lights (adding some, or changing spectrums) Its ur own personal science experiment so have some fun. Hope it smokes well for u & lets us know how good it is.
