Yes....this has been a real test of patience let me tell ya. I made the decision to grow last year for obvious reasons; save money, better quality and most of all not to mess with the wanna be thug young dealers in my area. I paused my smoking January 1st to clean my system and freeze a bunch of my clean urine. Well 25 days later and I failed a take-at-home drug test...I have been smoking REALLY good prior but I have 5% body fat as I am a cardio fitness martial art instructor. But I have also smoked daily for the past ten years. Now I am just hoping to be clean by the time my girls are ready!
all of a sudden this strain is getting more attention. it deserves it.
wish i could share mine with ya. i have some indoor and some outdoor of it, it has such a strong smell and taste. kinda piney/turpentine smell with a touch of chemmy skunk. btw my blue widow was one of those strains that just kinda finished overnight one day. it looked as tho it was done about a week before i actually picked it, turned out to be right to wait the extra week. still a fast flowering strain tho, faster than the ogk for sure. ill be waiting on the pics!
Actually the intolerance for the first few smokes is only an added bonus, I am a non-traditional full time student at a local university working a couple part time jobs and will be looking to cut one of them out and add something with a little better pay and in my health and exercise science field, where I will surely be drug tested. So the cleansing of the system is more so to get a few vials of my own clean urine- plus I caught word that my weed man is being watched by drug strike force and I don't want to mess with anyone else or pay the outrageous prices for quality bud around here. I will wait for the peak window as hard and tempting as it may be. I am glad I started this thread or surely I would have harvested a beautiful plant way too early.may i ask why u want to be clean?
IME it only helps get you higher for the first couple times, then your back to normal shortly afterwards. i think tolerance has more to do with your receptors in your brain, and each individual phenotype/plant rather than body mass and metabolism. also has alot to do with tolerance education, meaning the more you smoke the same strain the less it does. thankfully OGK is one of the strains with the best tolerance education u can get. hence its popularity, all the chem strains carry that attribute typically. even casey jones which only has a small % of chem.
btw good job on not picking it early. like i said: OGK is a SATIVA, not an indica(for the most part). its probably the best example out there of a sativa that typically grows much like an indica. ive hardly seen any OGK be ready at 8-9 weeks. it usually closer to 70 imo. not that its set in stone or anything, theres always exceptions.
in fact your ogk looks more indica than mine did, just keep using that 60X to look at the heads and pick it as soon as u see approx 20% amber or less. ive had bad luck with more amber than that lately. then the buds seem to decompose a bit as they are stored away in jars. so make sure u catch that ideal window. i think ull get it.

The blue widow is going great and almost as beautiful as the ogk...I guess I'm just a little more fascinated by the ogk because of the intense smell and the appearance to be further along. Thanks for the input as I know nobody in my area whom grows and was hesitant about asking for advice until this this thread and I couldn't be more happy I did. Smoke one for me.and hows the blue widow goin?? have u picked that one yet? sry im a bit confused.

mine has burn marks on all the leaves from high heat/intense light/low humidity/Chlorine. ugh what a combo. yours is much prettier. plus mines only about 2.5 weeks into flower.
