Disaster Has Struck Please Help

A load of DVDs fell on my plant while I was watering it, alot of leaves and the main cola has been damaged. I have trimmed off most of the damaged fan leaves becuase I heard this promotes groth in the new areas.
Do you think the plant will survive this? Will the plant die above this point?
Please help!!!

I am certainly not the one that should be giving advice but after the way I treated my first 2 grows, I believe these plants could survive a nuclear meltdown. :mrgreen: These are some tuff bastards. Someone will come along to advise you as to how to handle these issues but my gut tells me it will be OK. Good luck and I hope it works out for you.

I think im going to wait and see what happends and then make clones out of the new growth heads. Arrrrgh im kinda sad right now :(

it looks like it just made it flop over. but i see you have it tied down so if it was tied down before then its probably gunna survive. it doesnt look too awful. just take extra good care of it. keep it away from those DVD's and give it some extra loving for the next few days. it should perk back up.

for how sensitive marijuana is, it can definitely bounce back from plenty of awful problems. hehe.

It will be fine...

dont cut anything unless its 50% dead... including fan leaves.

I picked up a flowering plant that was about 4 weeks in flowering and smashed the entire budding cola against my light hood... shit happens... the main stem was definately crunched to the extent that it couldnt support the budding cola and so i just left it flopped over limp....

well... everything continued to flower sideways... i got a huge cola due to the fact that it was growing sideways and was able to get more light... and all the buds on the lower branches were just stacked with huge buds...

Remember... DNA is a powerful thing... what do weeds do??? they are genetically tough and rugged and have a high tendency to grow back... when left the hell alone!

go to the park ... jump and dance and spin and twirl, kick and spit at all the dandelions you want... the fuckers always grow back right? They grow back so well that companies like Round-up stay in business.

Cheers to DNA... give it a week ... chill .. and have confidence!!

completely agree - while not an ideal situation - it should be OK. My last grow i purposely broke my stems and the plants barely stuttered in growth (that was during veg though and planned).

keep going with it, its probly going to grow like that now but it will make a cool picture if it continues to grow

Thanks alot for all the replies people, I feel better now lol. The plant was being LST'd thats why its pinned down.Those leaves I cut off where deffinatly not 50% damaged, doh! but I suppose it doesn't matter, i'll just have a plant with loads of heads and not many fan leaves ha! But yeah, the leaves I cut off, I cut them up and put them in foil, and then put in the oven for 5 mins to dry them out. I just smoked it and it was ALOT stronger than I thought they would be! At least I know i have a good strain if just the leaves get me high!

If you want.... put a chopstick in there... and lightly tie it with maybe a twist tie to the chopstick... it will self heal and continue to grow just fine most likely, at worst you maybe stunted upper growth for 2 weeks ... or chop the top and root it and have yourself another plant... up to you... id prop it up, grow it up, chop 20 clones off it and be back in business within a few weeks ... lol but thats just me :) and btw... thanks email468 :)

LOL im suuuuuure, I've smoked weed for about 5 years lol so yeah, I got high! I might buy some rooting gell tomorow and make anuther plant or I might wait untill all the heads on it are bigger and then take clones. Im not sure yet.

Lol, I smoked a week old plant once, that got me high too. If it seams that impossible it may have just been the placebo effect. I was high tho :S

Good news people, she lives on! She has bushed out loads from all the leaf shoots and looks very happy and healthy; since that photo she kinda stoped growing for like 2 days and then just carried on! She not has 2 more sets of leaves on the main cola and the leaf shoot heads are on there 2nd leaf set! :D:D I'll post pictures later on.

Oh yeah, Ingonitto I smoked another splif from the leafs and it didn't get me high, I think last time it felt that way becuase I was already high when I smoked it lol, so the placibo effect did me!

It will be fine. If you can super crop to promote better growth then there should be no problen here. You might even find it works well. I would say use a vitaliy nutrient. The best is biobizz alg A mic. It just makes the plants healthy and healthy plants = big bud.
Its sort of a multi vitamin tablet for plants and can be used as a folar sprey. This should help with recovering plants

BUT the plant, SHE HAS GONE BUSHIER THAN EVER BEFORE, check her out in all her beauty!!! - No dvds can ever hurt her!!!
