Hi friends!
Sorry for my bad english but I will try my best.
I got 50ml of 98% distillate shipped from Canada and im planing to do som infused booze.
I allso am a brewer and have about 10 liters of 96% moonshine.
My plan is to do 40% creme de cassis with thc infusion.
My plan is to take 1l of 96% and put it down to 40% then drop like 1-2kg of cassis in it for 2-4 weeks and then strain it and infuse it. But here starts the problem.
Should i put like 20ml of distillate in the 1 liter direct or should i put 20ml in 100ml moonshine and then put in the allready infused cassis moonshine?
And a dumb question how many ml of distillate can i put in 100ml of 96% moonshine before it gets (dont know the english word) to full of thc?
Best regards and I hope 2024 will bring you happiness :)

Hello,

I´m makeing moonshine and cannabis liquer, so what I do, is first decarboxilation of weed. I find this super important for right taste and smell of the product. Then I put decarbed material to 96% alcohol, as much as possible to get everything wet, and let it disolve for about 2-3 hours. In your case, I would do two separate liquers, and then blend it to final product by taste. Maybe some sugar or honey could be added at the end.

Sorry, not sure what you mean 10/100 ml, like 10 ml of Creme and 100 ml cana liquer blend? I would try like 30/70 ml, make some experiments with taste, but to me, canabis liquer should be most of the blend. Hope this will help.

Oh no sorry its late here.
I meant if I put 20ml of distillate and blend it with 80ml 96% and then take the infused 100ml in 900ml of creme de cassis to make a litre
You in Europe? It´s 20 minutes after midnight here as well. Have to go to bed, lets disscus it tomorow here.

The English word is saturated or saturation, depending on context.

I would put the distillate in last. You will lose some when you strain out the cassis otherwise.

The distillate will mix at any ratio with ethanol but less so with water in the mix. Assume 1:1 is the practical limit without water.

I've never tried it with a 40% solution, but if we assume 60% of the ethanol's capacity is already taken up with water, you might experiment starting with around 60% less distillate, or 1 to 0.4.
