Ditchweed

No issues so far with the megacrop and autopot.

Thinking about getting another set of autopots. Flower will definitely be the tell but so far so good.

Staying at about 1.0 ec and 6.2pH

Add 4½ gallons to the trash can lookin reservoir every other day. Have not had to do anything beyond the initial setup.

Making flowers now.

Growing nicely in the autopot with the fabric pot but think I found what is going to be the challenge:

The fabric is staying moist in several spots at all times which is evaporating more to the air at a faster pace.

There has not been an issue with wicking up the nutrient solution. Roots are growing out of the sides of the pots at all the wet spots.

Maybe the hard plastic pots would be better to control humidity.

This one already wanting twice a day hand feed.

Ran these same clones last year, hand watered 70/30 coco. Other than that, had the week of less intense light during veg this go.

This time they are growing taller & faster than with once a day hand feed.

Guessing the decreased light intensity and the consistency of the feeding caused the excess stretch this run. My bad for not flipping sooner.

Going to remove some of the bigger leaves and lower larf.

Did you think about trying to supercrop them? What's your recommended light distance? It might be better to supercrop them and risk it then to have your colas sitting that close to the light. It depends on how long ago you flipped though I would be say. Damn, you sure are going to have a full tent at least.

The stems are very hard and hollow. I pinched a couple in different places and they will fold completely over. I tried to supercrop it on previous runs and it was like a nest of snakes all over.

I had it timed to flip when hand watering but this time used the auto water and she took off.

Will just cut off whatever if it gets burned in the light. Lesson learned

Went ahead and stuck this in the plastic pot to try the bottom feed. Wish I would have done it from the start instead of fucking around. Just made myself extra work and hassle for no reason. Now the light to top of plant distance is not ideal. Will have to bend and tie some down.

I have been using slf100 in the nutrient mix at 1Tbsp/4½gal of megacrop 1part. Every 3rd bucket fill.

After 1 month the reservoir has very little residue and wiped up easily with a rag.

Just to be clear I do not rep any company or product. Just showing what I'm using and how it is working for me being a fairly inexperienced personal grower.

I try to not fall for "broscience" but am human and may do dumb shit on a regular so if anyone sees something obvious or not please point out or ask

Thanks

Here's a previous run of ditchweed at harvest. Had bamboo trellis and stakes all woven amongst it.

This is after all that was pulled out.

The plan has been to figure out how to be able to properly run ditchweed as she seems to be able to take punishment from a novice and still have a decent smoke, then use that as a base to go off of for future quality genetics.

So far I've learned to clone, regenerate after harvest, grow in coco, take flower cuts for clones; still working on keeping up with fast growth, scrog trellis. All from this lazy me accidentally crossed bagseed in a previous grow.

So keeping her as my training plant is sentimental and because I would really like to figure her out
