I think it was Rrog who used a 50W halogen bulb to supplement an XPG build.

I reckon one of the ole cool white 40W cfls kicking around in my kitchen drawers would be an awesome supplement to a 3000k Vero. Huge red energy from 3000Verowith crazy goodness of full-bodied fluro.

Wish there was a led equivalent to cfl - broad spectrum with extra random bits of uv etc.


I'm planning to supplement the 3000k/3500k combo with something bluer - maybe a Cree in 4000-4500 or Vero in 4000-5000. Or might just switch to a 3500/4000k combo instead.

Wonder what a halogen bulb might do in there,.. Hmmmm.... Lol :V

I still can't get over the way this looks. It's like 2 floating heatsinks that magically have good lighting underneath. I keep thinking there must be a bulb recessed in the sink's base, but the fins clearly show it to be hollow... so where is the light coming from???

It trips me out every time I look at it.
