Diy cloner?

Has any1 tryed to make a diy cloner it looks pretty simple my question is - the container i plan to use is transparent will th e clones grow if light can get at them or does it need to be dark?

I've built a bunch, all dark. All successful.

I've never seen a clear one.

I had a clear one made from a screw container. Worked fine, just had to break it down a scrub it once a month from algae. Foil taped the outside, been running for 5-6 months straight, no more algae.

I made this aerocloner, took like 45 mins to build and it works like a charm

5gal bucket with lid, small pump (don't even remember the size but small) some PVC to make a "T", a couple sprayers from hydro store (pennies) put those in your "T" 6 - 3" net pots with bottom 1/3 cut out, 6 - 3" net pot collars (neoprene discs). Sprayers spray your cuttings that hang through the collars. Simple.......but a tray with some root cubes (root riot, jiffy, rockwool, ect) sometimes a dome and a spray bottle work even better.......

Roots like dark.
As easy as an aquarium stone in a bowl and let the cuttings sit slightly submerged, or true aeroponic spray as described by others, and there’s nothing like it. A Meyer lemon cutting shows roots after 17 days in the spray

How so? Do you find the rapid rooters slow growth at all? Do you plant them directly in soil? Use any hormone or rooting gel?

built my cloner cuts have been in 3 days how long does every1 take to get roots?

I just use a solo cup and HF, soak in water with a drop of aloe gel for a couple hours before planting. They root in about 5 to 10 days, and off to the races we go again.

Thered a great book available for 10$ on Amazon from ol Stinkbud. I wont tell you no more. You either read it, pay the 10$, or be forever lost...

Are they in "cells" (little pockets with slits at the bottom)? Or are they just upside down sitting on tray bottom (tray with those troughs/"valleys" at the bottom)?

rapid rooter trays, 1020 flat with the insert that hold the rapid rooters. i always keep about 3/16" of water in the tray bottom, dome, set on a heat mat and let em root. if they start to yellow before roots i can give them a foliar feed but that usually indicates the light is too intense.

How long does it take for cuttings to take root in an aero cloner?
I've been using straight tap water and net pots and start seeing roots at about 2 weeks.
