Ide love to make bubble Hash, but I can’t give up these good yields I’m getting making flower rosin. I feel like it would cut my overall concentrate yield in half

Hash rosin > flower rosin any day of the week.

terps on terps on terps.

I personally just like regular old hash, my lungs can’t handle dabs.

Made this yesterday, have a ice cream pail full of dry sift I need to process still

Depends on the quality of hash you're making.
Squish that hash you made and further concentrate the concentration you'll have the nicest rosin you'll ever smoke. Yield doesn't really matter to me I'm more after the overall quality of the end product.

How has it affected the quality if you tried any yet? Looks great.
Well the quality is up to you and what micron bag you use and how long you shake it. Top is 220 micron and bottom is 73. It’s from a strain I call “ ALEC Baldwin” because it will blow you and a friend away. I made bubble hash for years and I would end up with a few grams after working my ass off and making a big mess. With dry ice it’s super simple and you just scrape it up and it’s ready to smoke. You loose a ton with water. I always noticed the water was sticky when I used to make water hash and that’s because I was losing a ton of trichomes and pouring it on my lawn. With what I used to get 3-7 grams with I can get 14-20 with dry ice. Plenty of YouTube vids man.

I use dry ice and only like the first quick shake. I had about 8 zips of popcorn, trim, and old weed. Had friend come by the other day with some dry ice and ended up with about a quarter zip. It's not much but it's all I need. I still have a bunch from last time. There was plenty more and my friend continued processing. When they were done they had about an ounce of stuff with a green tinge because they processed too long.

I only want the trichomes. No green.

No problem man. I have only done 73 micron and 220 micron so far. I’ve done several different strains and they all produced far more than I expected. With the water method you use wet/green material but with dry ice method I find using dry weed is far better. Using undried weed left a lot of trichs on. When you shake the dry ice and the dry weed you end up with a counter coveted in kief and a bucket full of ground up almost powdered weed which you can make edibles out of or bake on a cookie sheet ( I forget the time and temp but it’s online)and take picked of which will get you high. Just wear gloves with the dry ice because you will get frost burned fingers if you don’t. A lot of vids show guys using rubber or latex but I would wear something a little thicker just to be safe. Good luck man and if you have any questions HMU

Have you also tried the water method? I kick myself for all the hash I wasted using water. I wish I knew about the dry ice long ago

If you can get dry ice it's quick and easy with no mess. Takes 10 minutes and you're done. You can press it if you want.

I use 2 buckets. One has the bottom cut out and replaced with 100 micron screen. That sits inside another identical bucket leaving about 3-4 inches between the screen and the bottom of the other bucket. I just put the broken down dry weed I'm going to use in the freezer a couple hours before I process it. Then dump into the screened bucket while it's in the second bucket and put broken up dry ice inside and cover with a lid for a few minutes and then start shaking. After about 10 seconds all the best stuff is in the bottom bucket. There is still more that is really good but if you process for too long you'll start getting plant matter through the screens which will start to turn it green.

Some shake over a mirror or table but I prefer to keep it all contained in buckets.

How much you get depends on how clean you want it to be. I probably waste a bunch that others would keep but I only want the trichomes and absolutely no green plant material even if I lose some of the good stuff. And nothing really ends up going to waste. I throw what's left into one of my buckets of cannabis JLF that will then be used to fertilize more plants. And the cycle continues. The waste from the cannabis I harvest today will be used to feed the cannabis I grow tomorrow.
