I have tried the wall mounted fans from $30-$70 and all last about the same and one I got was bad out of the box.
This time of year you can get 16" and 18" oscillating fans almost anywhere for $15-$30 and I got and flag pole mount at Lowes for $10. It took me less than 15 mins to measure and cut the fan and mount it on the wall and I can replace the fan with another anytime without ordering one from the hydro store.

Thank you. I did 3 fans tonight and plan on getting one more tomorrow. just the space from not having those big legs or round pedestals taking up floor space is great and worth it. I just finished redoing my flower room and added 432more watts up to 3432 total and temps have dropped 4degrees after adding more lights. I love my new room.

If you look in the upper right corner of thepic of the fan before cutting the new drying racks i made from closet shelving. They fold up and lock out of place when not needed

So I just googled diy wall mounted fan and this is the first thing to pop up :D
Awesome idea using a flag mount. I wonder if it was hard or tricky cutting the fan precisely, and how you were able to avoid cutting the wires.
I'm in desperate need of a wall fan but have never been willing to pay the high price. I've actually got a spare oscillating fan, but it doesn't have the pole or stand, so hopefully now I just found a good use for it. Thanks, really appreciate it.
