O-Why hello there,

Sit with me, and ponder for a moment please.
Music in a lot of ways, to a lot of people is a way of life. A way of being. 'Our music' to us, be it through listening, writing or composing makes us feel the ways we feel about ourselves and others. It is one of the great forms of expression. It gives us a sense of calm and belonging, a feel of serenity or excitement, happiness and sorrow. The music we live in is part of us in a lot of ways. Changing just as we do, dutifully over time, changing subtly in our attention yet quick in our hearts. Yet, there is always music that lasts with you forever, the music that always 'does it' for you, and that is what I want to talk about right now. Your, RIU's top 100 list.

I want you guys, to think of five songs that absolutely blow you away. The music that makes your emotions race, your mind chase, and your body rise. The stuff that elivates you into your brain theatre, your personal mental state of relaxation and satisfaction.

Now, after you've listed them all down. here is where the job gets interesting, because RIU is so beautiful. In that it is so diverse, with such wonderfully unique individuals who've all come togeather with a common interest into such a positivly awesome community that to truely do this next part I need a little bit of commitment.

For those of you guys who truely love music, absolutely and positivly to every fiber of your being I ask that you listen to at least 5 songs OTHERS have listed, and post which ones you want on the list. y/n The question is: does it touch you in the places and in the ways you love and want music to touch you in? You can listen to and rate as many songs listed as you like, but if you post 5, at least listen to 5 anybody has posted that are not your own.

Unfortunately you cannot vote on your own songs, it's more interesting this way. You can only post songs for other members to vote on. Once a song has 10 points it is anchored to the list, a song can't take negative points (no votes instead of yes votes) until it's officially on the 100 list (when it has 10 votes for it by others)Once it is on the Top 100 list, it can take negative points until zero then it is removed. Once the Top 100 list is full, the anchoring system is removed and the songs compete on 'high points' for placement on the list.

That aside I would like to also say,
All of your commentary is constructive in the sense of developing this thread and discussing tastes in music. Feel free to comment on a song even if you weren't such a fan. Did you like it regardless of not voting for it? What just didn't cut it for you? Why? feel free to discuss.

Try to indicate which ones you're recommending by adding youtube links underneath them like above. If they aren't on Youtube just give
the best information on it as possible and I'll download it and upload it myself and repost the URL. My youtube handle is also, DJBoxhouse.

If you're recommending a song, bold the full title, song AND band then add a link underneath it.
If you're voting for a song, try to indicate so, you can do it however you want, just make it noticeable and make sure you put beside each song who recommended it.
For example:

My hope is to get a playlist that everybody will appreciate and be able to listen to be it high or sober. A list to caress all of our musical sensations.

What do you guys say? How about it RIU? Care to take me away to Auditory paradise? I'm sure ready to go with you.

Also, any album by Synaesthesia is great for ambient stoner music. Except one of them has a surprise tone midway through one of the albums, and if you're fucked up it will always surprise you when you least expect it.

Props on that. Check out that blizzardman song I posted, it's pretty tight ass shit in a manner of speaking.

Also, question if you're reading this: Is there something wrong with my thread post? Nobody seems to want to do the second half of the process and critique or vote for any songs lol, I like how everyones posting recommendations but hey guys, come on.
